This place is sensational. Came here for brunch on New Year’s Eve. The coffee was excellent and I can definitely recommend the Brekky burrito. It was absolutely delicious. All of us had the Brekky burrito and were all impressed. Compliments to the chef who brought them out. He even accomodated my mate who didn’t want avo in his salsa (weirdo lol). This place has a real Balinese feel to it. It was a pleasant experience and I’ll be back ASAP.

By far the best cafe in the region - my favourite cafe in all of Newcastle & Lake Mac. Food is fresh, high quality and beautifully presented. Coffee is really good and the service is always great. The vibe inside is like a home decor villa. I recommend any acai bowl and their gluten free bread with smashed avo.

Villa Cafe is the closest thing to a trip to Bali. Immaculately styled with a relaxed coastal vibe. Highly recommend the fresh-squeezed OJ and the coffee is amazing. 👌

Love this place. Starting with the food, I'm a big acai bowl enjoyer and they did not disappoint. The sorbet is about the same one you get at most acai places, which isn't necessarily bad. But what I really enjoyed was that they do a great job with making their templates feel complete, so you don't have to order a bowl and then add a million things to it to feel happy with it. Toppings are pretty generous as well, so you don't end up with a bunch of sorbet to eat with nothing.

My girlfriend, who is pregnant, got a bacon and egg roll with a hashbrown as well. She's not eating runny yolks during the pregnancy, which is heartbreaking for her. They actually did a great job of cooking it through without turning it to chalk, and the barbecue sauce definitely still left it moist and with a bit of personality to it. Hashbrowns were nice, crispy and fairly sizeable as well. Worth noting, while we didn't get anything from it, they have a very nice looking bakery case that will tempt you while you're in there as well. I got an iced dirty chai and she got a latte. They were pretty decent, not the best coffee I've ever had or anything but they were still nice.

Service was good. Very quick and friendly. They did mess up my drink but were quick to remake it with no fuss. The atmosphere was what I'd call cozy with a hint of bougee, which I mean in a good way. It's a very nice and quiet little street its on and it isn't too far from the ocean. Really enjoyed this place, one of the better cafes I've seen in the area. Will certainly...

I've held my tongue for a long time about the service here, but today takes the cake.

Today we ordered a Ham and Cheese croissant for my daughter however after tasting it, it tasted like chemicals. I suspect someone was being lazy when cleaning the display fridge and didn't rotate the stock when spraying cleaner or at the prep area.

Apart from that, every time we order coffee from here, they stuff it up somehow. They either miss the syrup in my caramel latte or forget the chocolate on my wives cappuccino. There has even been occasions where make a completely different coffee we didn't order.

No manager on duty, only a bunch of kids with no experience who have no clue on guest recovery or correct sequence of service.

The staff are always on the phones and too busy gossiping to bother about being proactive.

Very dissapointing. 12 months ago this place...

I had been meaning to right a review of this place as it was so good but it's taken me 2 months to get around to it. My husband and I had breakfast there one morning. It was a Thursday but still quite busy. Obviously popular. My husband had set his mind on Eggs Benedict and they didn't disappoint. Nor did the Smashed Avo that I had. These may sound like fairly run of the mill choices but the Chef had a way of putting his personalised stamp on them. Little things like a drizzle of some tasty sauce, or an amazing feta. Just scrumptious. The coffee and tea were also amazing. To top it all off, the price was very reasonable. I was just visiting the area so it is unlikely I will be back but those more local should definitely take the opportunity to work their way through the menu and try the daily specials. By the way,...
