This is a local bakery and cafe located along the main road running through Northampton. They have a couple tables inside and outside and offer a range of sweet and savoury bakery and breakfast food items. We stopped for a morning drive break recently and picked up a couple of sausage rolls and a chocolate walnut brownie. Enjoyed the sausage rolls over at Hampton Gardens city park, they tasted really good, crispy, flaky outside, meaty flavourful fillings - just really good sausage rolls. Brownie was also quite nice, light sweetness, soft, moist and cake texture - a solid brownie. Would gladly stop here again during drive days along the NW Coastal Highway if pulling into Northampton.

Overnight Sunday in Northampton, & looking forward to a couple of famous Vanilla Slices from “The Shearing Shed Cafe” upon departure Monday morning!! Combination lock on the caravan failed & refused to open. A casual query to Nic’ about when someone in town might allow me access to tools …. like bolt cutters or an angle grinder was greeted with the reply “I’ve got a battery powered angle grinder out the back …. I’ll get it!” Tremendous hospitality! Would you like an angle grinder with your cakes? ! ? ! 😃 Lock was duly removed and we continued to Carnarvon & Coral Bay!! Thanks heaps Nic’ (pix of errant padlock coz’ yummy Vanilla Slices are long gone!!)

What a fantastic place! Amazing fresh vanilla slices, delicious sausage rolls. Had the yummy beetroot latte and the white hot chocolate, both perfect. The owner was lovely and makes a great atmosphere. The cafe is just a little further along the street than the marker, opposite the old butcher, don’t give up!

What a fantastic place! Amazing fresh vanilla slices, delicious sausage rolls. Had the yummy beetroot latte and the white hot chocolate, both perfect. Been stopping here for years on the way up north and it's probably my favourite place, I LOVE it!

Great location on the main street, staff are always happy and friendly, and the food and coffee is bloody amazing!

Homemade vanilla slice (and also the caramel slice) is easily the best I've had, ever! I often put orders in to ensure I get some haha (and often they're for other people too)! Beautiful fresh rolls, homemade pies and sausage rolls (that are also delicious) and great coffee. The list just goes on with this place! The decor inside is clean and tidy, and perfectly matches the town vibe

Only downside is they don't deliver to Perth! Would DEFINITELY recommend stopping by when youre in...
