The quality of the food and kitchen service here has gone down dramatically. Often issues with dishes that come out (or do not come out at all).

We are not overly fussy diners and understand we are there for a pub meal, but there are certain standards that you expect from pub meals that are not met by this kitchen (hot food and speedy service). The front of house staff have a big job making up for the poor quality of the kitchen and deserve a raise as I imagine the cop a lot of flack from customers for the poor quality coming from the kitchen.

Our last visit, the manager came out and walked off half way though hearing our complaint (after waiting nearly and hour to be served tepid food) about one of the dishes and was clearly not interested in hearing the feedback.

The food service took so long we saw 2 tables have to request their meals as takeaway as they had children with them that needed to get home.

This was not an overly busy restaurant and the new level of ‘service’ coming from the kitchen may explain why there were not busy on a Sunday night.

I have to reiterate the front of house service staff did a marvellous job and we tried to be clear we were not upset with them as we knew they were not the issue and wanted them to...

We've been going there for years ,yes I know things are tuff and every now and then you have a bad one (meal ) ,well we had a bad four meals over the months and waiting times vaired from 30min to hour and a bit .... we like the howed springs tavern so thought we would give it another try ... the soup was discusting ,it was water with hard veggies and a few bits off tuff meat . It tasted like dish water , there were a few other patrons ,that also had the soup ,and left theres as well ,and none off the staff asked why we left it , uou would think the cheif or supervising staff would have saod something?? We like to support locals and going out is expensive. We won't be back there for a very long time... very very, disappointing, i wouldn't even gove it one star ,but needed to...

came here for the first time after being here for 2 years and the staff didn’t tell any customers that the kids eat free. 5 mins after ordering i went back to the counter and i asked to order 1 kids meal with 4 of the main meals we ordered and said they can’t do it as it needs to be ordered with the mains. i questioned where their advertising was for kids eating free and why the staff didn’t tell us and a gentleman staff jumped in and said the advertising is on their pick up bus.. i told them that’s pretty poor advertising considering their bus is nowhere to be seen.. and who only advertises on a bus?? such a shame.

first time our group of 20 with kids will ever be dining...

We weren't heading there, but we had heard good reports,so we decided to give it a try for lunch. We both had the roast pork (8 slices and crackle),yummo. The beer was icy cold great for a hot day. The staff were friendly and helpful. The toilets were clean, but there was no disabled in the front bar area. There is one in the restaurant, though. There are different food specials every night and also theme nights( bingo, trivial, etc). The drive-through bottle shop has a sausage sizzle on Friday nights. There are plenty of fans in the outside area, but if too hot ,the front bar is air-conditioned .

Absolutely love this place! The atmosphere at the Howard Springs Tavern is fantastic—relaxed, welcoming, and just a great vibe all around. The service was spot on from the moment we arrived. A big shoutout to Ryan and Scott in the Bottle-O—these two were amazing! Super polite, friendly, and incredibly helpful. It’s rare to find that level of service these days, and they really went above and beyond. Highly recommend stopping by whether you’re after a great meal, a few drinks, or top service in the bottle shop. We’ll definitely be back!

This place was a real Aussie pub, ice cold beers and good old pub favourites. Kids enjoyed the outside playground. We had to sit outside as we had kids and the dining room was closed (bar is only 18+). It was hot, the fans took the edge off the heat a bit, cold drinks did the rest. Staff were very friendly and efficient. Meals were nice and reasonably priced, missus had chicken schnitty and I had the buffalo burger. The kids had chicken nuggets and chips, no complaints from them at all. Recommended if in the area 🍻
