Paringa Hotel Motel — Restaurant in Paringa

After a lengthy drive, we arrived. Got the key and had much difficulty unlocking the door to the room. Once inside, the room was very clean and spacious. ||The bathroom was very tired looking, mostly clean though. The bathroom door was dodgy and I got stuck inside the bathroom for a while, even though I didn't lock it, just simply closed the door.||There were 2 dining chairs, but no table or bedsides, so nowhere to lay out and read a paper or put a glass or coffee while trying to relax and watch TV. ||No complimentary shampoo or conditioner, only soap, so make sure you take your own toiletries||There were no glasses for wine or beer. The single serve milk was also out of date. ||The bed was comfortable and the air-conditioner warmed the room adequately.||Yes, we'd stay again, but at $95 per night, we did expect a little more and take our own milk. Not the Ritz, so if that's what you expect, I suggest you...

I've stayed at many different budget hotels/motels and this is one of the worst. Rooms are of a very low standard, there appears to be mould on the bathroom walls, rotting wood in the bed heads, unclean kettle and glasses, rocks and dust on the floor and some parts of the wall left unpainted. I could overlook all these issues as a motel/ hotel is just somewhere to sleep at night after exploring the the local area during the day but I was unable to sleep due to long term tenants in the neighbouring rooms partying and playing loud music. I brought up this issue with the staff who said they would have a chat with those tenants, but the next night nothing had changed. Two sleepless nights, as of course long term tenants bring in more money than those just staying short term so they would not be kicked out. I wasted my money staying here, don't waste yours.
