I love the decor, the atmosphere, the fact that we were late and the maitre d' didn't give us any pressure to hurry up and finish our meals was a plus! There were a few elements in our dishes that were WAY too salty, almost unconsumable (the pork belly entree, the puree for the scollop entree, the sauce for the duck leg main etc), but still giving a 4 stars cause the desserts were beautifully done, it rounds up the meal and for the price you pay for 3 course menu, you couldn't find this else where. Recommend: entree-Gnocchi with popcorns; main-duck leg; dessert- Chocolate lava cake

Good quality at a reasonable price, considering the area. Excellent range of wines available too, and not just locally sourced. Disappointing to note that the restaurant is only open on Friday and Saturday nights and that it operates on a 2 or 3 course pricing structure. When we first started coming here this was a true a la carte experience every night of the week. Impressive décor in the dining area that hasn't changed in the 8 years we have been visiting.

I visited this restaurant with my husband during our stay at Kirkton Park. We loved everything. Service was incredible, friendly staff, food was delicious and we had the best wine ever there. I couldn’t ask for anything else. Besides that it’s located in my favourite hotel, if you aren’t staying there, check out this place. It’s beautiful.

Two weeks ago I purchased two vouchers off groupon to use at the Locavore Restaurant at Voco Kirkton Park Hunter Valley it was for Two people: five-course degustation menu with paired wines and the vouchers were to expire on March 10th 2020. I did not make a reservation upon booking as they were purchased as Christmas gifts and they were going to make a reservation once they got the voucher. This afternoon as I logged into groupon to see the reservation availabilities, it displayed as there was none at all, so I made a call to the Locavore Restaurant and spoke to a women and explained that I wanted to know the reservation availabilities up until March 10th. She advised me that there was absolutely no reservations available until April, I asked her how come I could purchase a voucher online but then not have any way of making a reservation, she told me that it's not their problem, they will not honor the voucher and to call groupon. This is absolutely appauling service. To be able to purchase a voucher online but then not have enough reservation spots to cater for people leaving them with a useless voucher and out of pocket hundreds of dollars. Not good enough at all. I will now have to go through a lengthy process with Groupon to receive my money back and with less than 48 until Christmas I now have to rush around and try find...

Oh dear, such disappointing food. Lovely venue and very good service but what a let down with the overpriced food. Only 2 tables dining on a Friday night should have been a clue to go somewhere else. $90 for 2 courses and $105 for 3 courses.

The market fish was good. The steak was overcooked but still tender. The vegetarian goats cheese pasta was very poor. The handmade pasta would have been good if the edges were rolled thin. They were so thick that the centre of the ravioli was al dente, but the thick edges were raw. The goats cheese was off. Yes I know goats cheese can be sharp but this was sour. Perhaps the food turn over is so slow that the food is going off. The fish appetiser was a raw ceviche. Well that's ok but it doesn't say raw...
