It could have been amazing, the service however let the place down.
We had pre-ordered our meals as we had booked through our wine tour company. I think there may have been some mis-communication between the tour and the restaurant is the final order didn't seem to be sent to Twine. We are a very relaxed group and would have been happy to have re-confirmed and waited a bit longer for the meals however the waitress went to the point of having to take my phone (containing the email that had the food order and confirmation from the tour) to the kitchen which I thought was fairly extreme. The waitress' attitude made the experience really stressful, I understand the restaurant was busy and I can only imagine trying to wear a mask and serve would be frustrating but she was almost yelling our meals at us when they were ready. We also still after having my email food order taken to the kitchen had the wrong meal delivered, I was again questioned whether I had the right order....
We had also organised a cake which was a surprise, I had it delivered prior so our table didn't know it was there. I had also whispered when we arrived to her that the reason we requested not to have dessert in the set menu was because we had a cake, so in my opinion quite obvious it was a surprise. She announced to the table after our mains "OK should I get the cake now" which was a bit of a let down for the birthday boy and girl.
The food was delicious!!! but some better service could have made the experience so much better. There was absolutely no apology throughout the service, doesn't take much to improve...

Read moreWe wanted to like this place and enjoy our Easter Sunday lunch here. So many rave reviews here and we were sorely disappointed. Should’ve trusted the odd few low reviews here. The venue is dated and underwhelming. Views are good though but the rest of it could do with an update. The event was advertised as an Easter lunch buffet so we expected a buffet but it was poorly executed and we left within less than 20mins and barely ate. We paid for the full service anyway. All the warm food was overcooked. Serving spoons for the green curry was the same as for serving the steamed rice so guests had to use the same spoon for both, which meant there was remnants of curry in the white rice and rice floating in the curry. Buffet table was not kept tidy and it was very unappealing to us. Sauce was spilt everywhere and looked very sad. A large serving spoon was used for the soy sauce instead of a teaspoon. Which made guest spill it a lot. I feel like it would’ve been better off to be a table service vs. buffet if they were under staffed to keep the buffet area tidy and well setup. We didn’t take any pictures because it would’ve looked terribly unappealing to all. But you can just imagine. We won’t be back. Sorry we wanted to like your restaurant but feel like everyone should be given a fair shot at knowing...
