I’m sure this is a one off scenario as most of the reviews are excellent.

However, our experience was unfortunate. We thought the service was a little rude. We felt unwelcome.

We had 2 x $85 2 course meal, both my partner and I had a pasta which was lovley. We both had Lamb for main. My partner chose not to eat the dish as she wasn’t sure of the quality of what was in-front of her…. I pressed on … had most of the lamb ‘Agnelo’. The following morning, I woke up feeling unwell, we believe I was suffering from food poisoning, from the food. …..I was violently Ill…. And the trip home to Sydney was eventful to say the least.

I’m sure this is a one off scenario. But I hope this information finds the correct people.

I appreciate running a small business is difficult, and this may have just been a busy evening where a minor detail was missed. However I felt I necessary to inform.

Thankyou and best of luck...

The venue is in a lovely location and the atmosphere is cosy. It was a bit awkward when you walk in as there is no clear welcome spot to wait to be seated or be welcomed by a staff member. The casual dining menu was severely overpriced with limited options. Ordered $38 garlic prawns from main menu, and only 5 prawns came out, which would have been reasonable for an entree size but not for a main. The staff were friendly, but this outing was not value for money, as the only other two options were a burger and chips or fish and chips which were also overpriced for what you get. The fine dining experience may be more promising but you need to be willing to spend $85 per person to start and there is no guarantee that the portion size will reflect your expectations. Not enough Italian options mains for it to be called an Italian restaurant really. Unfortunately a beautiful spot but not...

What a lovely experience to taste such delicious food! Started by sharing some fresh and plump rock oysters. Next was an angel hair pasta with crab. I’ve had this dish in many restaurants, and Pescara’s version was the best so far! Beautifully seasoned, lots of crab, and the right hum of chilli. Main course was a fillet of barramundi with prawns and mussels in a light tomato sauce. Delicious. Dessert: affogato… simple and classic. My companions had tiramisu which was such a decadent mountain of yumminess that I may have had some dessert envy, but luckily they let me try it. Delightful wine list with some interesting offers. We drank a lovely Gavi and Chianti to keep with the Italian theme. Everything was so good I couldn’t fault it! The chef is doing an amazing job here: thank you. I will recommend this restaurant to all my friends. I thoroughly enjoyed this...

This is a showpiece of the Hunter valley in terms of dining experiences. The couple who run it had a hugely popular restaurant in Mosman for years and have brought their love to the Hunter. The setting is spacious, warm and cosy, yet elegant and stylish. It overlooks a water feature where kangaroos and birds settle. The staff are wonderful. Warm, kind and they know the menu inside and out. Food is diverse and includes crab pasta with chilli and garlic, sizzling prawns in a hot pot, duck leg on red cabbage and sweet sauce, beef cheek, lamb sliced on vegetables , and vegetarian options like cauliflower soup. Desserts are huge! And include crepes, brownies and a cold rhubarb crumble. Wines are global which is a relief, so there are gorgeous Italian wines and wines from All over Australia as well as the Hunter. A must visit for romance or groups. Amazing.

This restaurant is one of the best Italian places my family and I have ever been to. As Italians ourselves we find it hard to eat Italian out as we are often disappointed, but this experience was anything but. It was an absolute pleasure to eat every single dish. Each plate was perfectly cooked, with an incredible balance of flavour. We could not fault anything, we were completely blown away. Perfect 10/10, and a wonderful choice for my dads birthday dinner. It takes a certain level, and attention to detail to be able to produce a restaurant of this calibre. This is a testament to the team in the kitchen and Nicole and her partner. They have done an astounding job. The food was that good we had to return the next night to try more. I could not recommend Pescara enough, we can’t wait to be back. It is a must try for anyone in the hunter valley.

Under new ownership, this business has entered a new chapter of Italian cuisine. The restaurant has a new level floor with carpet and fresh paint, furnishings, comfy chairs and open design across the bar straight into the kitchen. Whilst they do not have a children's menu my 7 year old found they were flexible with the menu to accommodate his need for vegetarian gnocci with no spice followed by the chocolate brownie and hazelnut gelato (as they have a minimum 2 courses). You can only book a table online and your credit card is required to hold the booking until you arrive. The food was amazing and a good portion size for your money, staff were friendly and attentive at all times. Definitely a hot new favourite with the locals which is a great endorsement
