Bay Street Cafe + Pizza — Restaurant in Port Broughton

Stayed in Port Broughton for 4 nights, and got coffee here every day. All the staff were friendly and welcoming, especially the bloke at the counter.

Location is great, with a view over the jetty, and a nice breeze in the mornings.

Coffee was good, nothing special but far better than other small towns I’ve visited.

But on Sunday morning I got bacon and eggs, and it was possibly the best bacon and eggs I’ve ever had. The toast was crunchy but soft, and no hard crusts that are impossible to cut. The eggs were runny but still hard enough. The bacon was perfect, and it was worth the $15.

I ordered coffee and a cake and sat at table 4. After 30 mins I noticed that about 6 other people had received service since I arrived, so I asked for my money back. They fumbled about, but couldn't find my order. I was told they could not refund card payments, so I asked for cash, but there was insufficient small notes in the till.
