If you're looking for a delightful high tea experience with uninterrupted sea views, then look no further than Time & Tide Tearoom in Port Fairy.
Upon arrival, we were greeted with stunning sea views across the Southern Ocean and a whimsical lemon yellow & black French provincial interior that was both inviting and elegant. The comfortable dining chairs and lace tablecloths added a touch of charm and sophistication.
To start off the experience, we were treated to a glass of sparkling Rosè Prosecco, which was a lovely touch.
The tea menu in itself was impressive and offered a variety of traditional and herbal teas to please everyone. We were served T2 teas in lemon teapots and sipped from ornate porcelain tea cups, which added to the overall elegance of the high tea.
The highlight of the high tea experience was the 3-tiered platter of homemade savoury and sweet delights. The selection was simply divine and included scones with jam and cream, sausage rolls, savoury pinwheels, sandwiches, meringues, sticky date puddings, macaroons, and more. Each item was beautifully presented and tasted absolutely delicious.
Overall, Time and Tide is the perfect place to indulge in a delightful high tea experience. The attention to detail, uninterrupted sea views, stylish interior, and friendly service make for an unforgettable experience. I highly recommend Time and Tide and will definitely be...
Read moreWe recently dined at TT_HT and, unfortunately, had a disappointing experience. In previous years we paid our $89 per person and received our complimentary glass of champagne and offered a second complimentary glass free of charge. Upon this visit, a slip of paper was delivered to our table by the staff member, requesting payment for two extra glasses of champagne. Considering three family members didn't have champagne and chose a cheaper alternative drink, the extra cost of the champagne glasses of $24, with the extra debit card charge left a bad taste in my mouth and is very stingy and unnecessary. It wasn't made clear by staff in the introductions that we were to pay an additional cost for any extra champagne glasses prior to the delivery of our high tea. As long-standing customers, it is disheartening to see such practices being employed. We feel compelled to caution others to be vigilant, as this approach appears to prioritise profit over customer trust and loyalty. Regrettably, this experience has left us considering our options elsewhere for...
Read moreWhat an absolute delight. From the moment you walk in you will be blown away by the magnificent views and the interior decor. I felt like I'd walked into a New York tea room of an earlier era. Staff were dressed in a gorgeous uniform to compliment the theme. Welcomed with a glad of delicious champagne we spent a relaxing few hours there enjoying the food and the view. Now to the food - we were there for a high tea. From the warm and cold savouries to the assorted mix of delightful sweet treats we were treated to explosion after explosion of deliciousness. A large variety of quality T2 teas was available all served with the prettiest collection of tea cups. Skinks outside the window provided some entertainment too. Jams and champagne us available to buy to take home. If you ever get to visit Port Fairy make sure you...
