Absolutely terrible experience. To start off with, we had checked the menu on their website and picked what we wanted prior to coming due to dietary requirements. Once we arrived, the menu in the restaurant was completely different. We ordered from the QR menu they provided, only to have my entire meal substituted for something completely different without checking if this was an acceptable substitution. When I pointed it out, the incredibly rude server had the audacity to argue with me, claiming I was the only person to order from the QR menu and they don’t update this menu (nor the one on their website obviously) — as if that was somehow my fault. Why even offer a menu you haven’t updated and encourage people to order from it per your signs all over the establishment? Why not inform customers that what they ordered and paid for isn’t available? On top of that, the server was incredibly rude and dismissive and arguing with me. If they can’t manage basic communication and customer service, they shouldn’t be in hospitality. Wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone, I guess they’re just lucky that they are one of 3 options to eat at in Port Vincent. Unfortunately I didn’t take a photo of the 3rd menu to attach. Avoid...

Pictures speak louder than words here...

The garlic bread entree was actually 4 pieces but we gobbled 2 of them before remembering to take pictures. Delicious and light, full of flavour. Then came the Cooper's Beer Battered King George Whiting. 2 HUGE Pieces, lovely salad, home made tartare sauce and enough chips to feed yourself, kids and the pets. I'm sure the fisherman had dropped off an Esky of the Whiting to the pub this morning. It is one of their most popular dishes. It is so fresh, melt in your mouth. Complimented by original Sars liquid mixed with soda, ice and lemon ... Very refreshing.

Newly decorated dining area, bars and amenities. Great value day trip or even stay the weekend.

We come here a few times a year. It's an easy 2 & 1/2 hour drive from Adelaide, great for a Saturday/Sunday lunch on a normal weekend or a weekday, but ofcourse it is the 4 day long weekend when this review was written and the town was...

Meal was good. Ordered about 7.40pm on Tuesday 17th September 2024. However who I presume to be the owner/republican asked us to not order anything to fancy as one of the chefs had injured herself. He then thought it was a good idea to tell us about the chefs size and weight and how hard she fell (apparently off a ladder). Said 'how do I put it lightly she is a big girl' type comment. Then proceeded to tell us that you shouldn't pick a skinny chef. Several times the republican tried to make conversation why we were eating, shame he did not realise that we found his comments about one of his chefs inappropriate, disgusting and outright disrespectful. Advise for the republican - don't judge a book by its cover, we may be tradi rougher looking guys, however we beleive in respecting women (big or small) and valuing employees. Your comment was disgustin in general, even worse that it was one of your...

I came in for dinner both Sunday and Tuesday night while I was staying a few days at the caravan park, the meals on both occasions were sensational and the service was impeccable. But mostly, I wanted to say thank you for the treatment and respect the employees showed towards myself and my assistance dog Pretzel. We are still new to the whole going out in public thing and you all made it so easy, you were accepting, accomodating and so respectful of both of us. Thank you not only for your good food and service but for your inclusion. Pretzel and I really appreciate it ❤️
