Absolutely love the BBQ Chicken, but mostly LOVE the charcoal chicken. Unfortunately, it is only available 1/10 I go...(Which is usually 3x per week). As a Charcoal chicken shop, I think the Charcoal chickens should be the 1st priority to start cooking everyday, but alas, they are not. You arrive at lunchtime, ask for Charcoal, only to be told "We've only just put them on. They will be atleast another 2.5hrs"🤯🤯🤯 Seriously!!! & I'm not the only 1 with that opinion. & they never cook enough of them.- Usually if you get there past 6.30pm, it's "Sorry, but we've sold out for today"🤦🏻♀️🫠 With the amount of people that ask, & then are denied Charcoal, proves that you need to be cooking more of them. Chips are usually always great.- Only every now & again they're not cooked properly, & there's no crunch to them. Wish you would offer an Extra small though, as they're not cheap, & a small is generally too much for 1 person. Salad portions are small for the price, those prices need to drop, or give bigger portions. As is the amount of vegetables you get (apart from peas🙄), in any meal pack, or ordering by themselves...Which is a shame, as the pumpkin is especially nice, but you don't get enough, or corn.... So yeah..Not like you will actually care about this review, but main ideas: - Charcoal chicken: This especially should be ready from the time you open, not halfway during the afternoons. Chips:- make chips cheaper, or offer smaller sizes. Salads:- Make them Cheaper, or give bigger portions.(They're half the price at Coles & Woolworths.... plus you'd probably sell more) Vegetables:- WAY WAY WAY overpriced for what you get... It's actually sad, & is why I stopped buying your "Meal Deals", they just aren't worth it.- It may take 2 stops, But you get Chicken, chips & Gravy here, then stop in at Coles to get some different salads, then = 1/2 the price of your meal deals) ... Gravy: Overpriced for sizes when it's just chicken juices, fat, some flavouring & cornstarch..... Also.... You would think that you had started a loyalty program by now.... like most places... but you haven't....ANOTHER thing you should add... I probably would have earnt 5 chickens in the past 6...
Read more1/5 stars - Disappointing Experience at Babbas Chicken
I visited Babbas Chicken on Thursday, December 5th, around 7 pm, and had a thoroughly disappointing experience. The drive-thru wait was 15 minutes, which was tolerable. However, the service was subpar.
When I ordered a BBQ chicken, the server didn't respond and walked away. She returned to inform me that they were out of BBQ chicken but offered charcoal chicken, which would take 10 minutes. The staff member struggled to communicate my order back to me.
After waiting an additional 20 minutes, I received a bag dripping with oil, which leaked all over my car's cloth seats. I returned to the restaurant, and they rewrapped the chicken. I also requested serviettes to clean the mess, which they provided.
What's appalling is that despite multiple calls and filling out their contact form on the same day, I received zero contact from the restaurant to discuss my experience. The cherry on top is that the oil stain on my seat cost me over $100 to remove.
The chicken itself was quite nice, but the service and overall experience were abysmal. Unless they seriously revamp their service and communication, I wouldn't recommend Babbas...

$23 for 1/4 chook and chips, coleslaw and small drink is quite exxie for what the place is. I'll pay that if the place is nice, has an ok atmosphere and the food is good; happily.. I am not hating on them for the price, but it's the price of a restaurant. This place is hot, kinda loud and open onto the busy Reservoir Road.
I stood at the counter (the only customer) and wasnt acknowledged for a couple of minutes. That to me just doesn't make sense; if you're busy with something yell out hello or tell me you'll be a second .. There are two plastic chairs to the whole place, you're pointed to a empty container that apparently used to hold plastic knives and forks, food is served to you in a brown paper bag... again, all of these things are ok if it was half the price.
Was not...
