Thai Tea Time — Restaurant in Manoora

Just delicious! We had almost given up on finding a new Thai place in Cairns when our old 1 in Stratford closed down about 4-5 years ago. We have been searching ever since, & boy did we come across some really bad doozies🤦🏻‍♀️ I am SO excited that we have found Thai Tea Time. It has now become our regular (only 4 or 5 times in the last 2 months, but I would gladly eat it every day if feeding a family of 4 wasn't so expensive😆- we usually order 4 dishes & ask for the rice in a separate container. This is then enough for 3 adults & a 5yr old, with enough leftovers for an adult to take to work the next day) Once we find a dish we really like, it's hard for us to try something else. So far we have tried: Thai fried rice-pork, Pad thai-chicken, Massaman curry- beef, Panang curry-chicken, Thai Ginger - chicken, Honey chicken, & the Satay Chicken entree. AND they just started prawn crackers Happy Dance which myself & daughter are ecstatic about😆 My daughter especially because of all the different colours, they're not just the pink & white ones. The flavours are amazing, & we love how the dishes are packed with vegetables. The only things I can really "recommend"(? Don't know if that's the right word to use), would be to add more potatoes & sweet potato to the massaman curry( I also find I need to cut the beef into smaller portions so there's enough to go around), the Satay Chicken tenderloins are a bit overcooked (a little bit dry & chewy), & adding more meat to the dishes(even if you put your price up $1, - because there's really not that much in them), & my 5yr old would like to see more slices or fresh cucumber with the fried rice😆😆😆 But like I said, Everything has the most wonderful flavours. Thank you for restoring our faith in Thai food❤❤❤ We would/& have recommended Thai Tea Time ALL the time....

BEWARE* on the 11th of march i had placed a order through menulog at around 8:00pm . Once i walked(noone was paying attention to the customer as they had all their backs turned to me) into the store i noticed the lady at the front counter pick up chicken off the GROUND and the bench and then place it in the metal dish for another customer. The chef looked up and seen i had witnessed that and was in shock and then went to serve me after. Noone was wearing gloves nor did the restaraunt look like it was even clean and now all of a sudden they are closed for cleaning and maintenance.... I really do think a health inspector needs to visit this store and remind them of the laws regarding food handling and safety... not happy at all!! the food I got was honey chicken there was deep fried carrot ? Broccoli? And what i believe was sweet potatoe let alone the dish being wrapped in alfoi.. horrible food. Horrible customer service. Not happy at all. Yes menulog did refund me still not the point I dont feel 100% let's just hope its...

Called in for dinner after shopping, thought we would give it a try. Walked in very basic table, chairs and furnishings. That's where basic finished. Not long after seating we were surprised with a beautiful complementary refreshment. We shared a mild Massaman beef curry and crispy chicken and Thai special fried rice. What a delight, generous portions of the best tasting Thai that we have had. A well balanced combination of herbs and spices and flavoursome meats. Not to much rice just enough to compliment the meat. Nice to have the Chef come up to us half way through our meal and ask if everything was fine. All this for $28 for both of us.
