We went there for our Valentine’s Day date, we booked almost one week in advance. It was very busy that night. We ordered some cocktails as an appetiser and we waited 1 hour and half to get it. And still no one to take our food’s order. After 2hours and half there, our entrées finally arrived. The entrées were good and well presented. We were the last ones in the restaurant. We thought the mains, which we ordered in the same time as the starters will be coming straightaway after, but the waitstaff was already cleaning up the kitchen and tidied up the place. I went to ask if the mains were on their way, but I’ve been told that they did a mistake with our order. We decided to take the bill and leave at 10pm. We had 3 cocktails each and one starter each. The note was 160$! They didn’t try to offer us one cocktail each to apologise. We will NOT be back. We ended up going to Maccas because it was the last thing opened at that time! What a disappointment!

This restaurant is such a hidden gem on the outskirts of Townsville. Who knew there was a restaurant overlooking beautiful wetlands with birds and turtles everywhere AND with fine dining meals as well! Everything we ate was delicious: for entrees, we had the crocodile popcorn and kangaroo fillet - highly rate the kangaroo fillet - it was so tender and full of flavour! Our mains were the barra and pork belly with a side of mashed potato with truffle oil. Couldn’t fault any dish! The staff were very polite and friendly and the restaurant noise level was not too loud. The only negative we had was the food took a while to come out but we didn’t mind as we had a beautiful view to look at! We highly recommend this place and it gives the other fine dining restaurants in Townsville a good run for their money!

We recently celebrated our wedding anniversary here. We had the popcorn crocodile, the kangaroo, the emu, the chocolate tart and the entremet for dessert. Everything was delicious. Service was fantastic. Location/atmosphere was beautiful. Would definitely come again. Love that there are so many native ingredients used. So many beautiful flavours that don't get utilised enough in many restaurants.

The Valentine day dinner turned out to be quite disappointing. The restaurant seemed to have ambitious goals, but unfortunately, it fell short in a few key areas. For starters, there were too many tables and not enough staff to manage them all effectively. As a result, the service was unprofessional and inconsistent. To make matters worse, the prices were quite high for the quality of food and service that was being offered.

However, despite these shortcomings, I could see that there was a lot of potential for this diner to improve. With a better cooking team and more staff to manage the tables, I believe this restaurant could turn things around and offer a much better dining experience for...
