I popped in at 10:30 on a Saturday morning. There were cars EVERYWHERE, but lots of tables available - people park, wander or ride along the Brisbane Valley Rail Trail and come back - just like I did. I rode from Esk to Toogoolawah-ish and back, parking deliberately outside the cafe so I would end my ride there. It is perfectly placed.

Everything about this place is elegant simplicity. There was a feeling of home and comfort. Dogs are welcome, bikes are welcome, people are welcome. There were also charging stations for e-bikes, so even they are welcome…!

I was served immediately by the first of the sublimely friendly staff. Ordering an enormous dirty chai latte, a big breakfast and a 1kg bag of their sublime coffee beans, I was again surprised that the latter made my coffee free. So generous!

I sat outside at one of the picnic tables. There were cushions, but my sweaty cyclist butt might make it uncomfortable for the next person.

My coffee arrived super fast and it was AMAZING!!! The food arrived soon after and I knew that I was in trouble - Big Breakfast was being polite. I soldiered on, almost making it through this delicious plate.

This was not my first time here and it will certainly not be the last. They outdo my lofty...

Have been wanting to try bvr for quite some time, this morning I thought I had enough time to stop so I could finally try bvr!! I was super excited, I knew I didn't have much time to spare but thought I would give it a go. I specifically asked the server if it would take very long, before I paid. She assured me it wouldn't be long, There were only a few other people in the shop so I took my chance. Unfortunately after waiting almost 20 mins there was still no coffee.. turns out there are a number of phone orders that are prioritised over walk ins I wish I had known, I could have called in from tagoolawah.. or saved myself 20mins of waiting for nothing. I did notice how dirty the place is though, they really need to clean the rafters above the service area where the lights are they are covered in dust and thick cobwebs. This is not really a complaint, I can't complain I didn't get to try it, merely a heads up to other travellers like myself who don't have time to wait for a que of phone orders to be done, phone...

Placed an order for 2 burgers with no beetroot with garlic aioli for our chips. Not a big establishment by any means and less than 70 percent of their seating capacity (half children half adults), we waited more than 1 whole hour later they came to our table with the wrong order and charged me for an extra bowl of chips that I didn’t ask for. The person at the register even read my order back to me and didn’t mention the extra bowl of chips. I turned the chips away and we exchanged the fries for 2 drinks from their fridge. Shortly after they came out with our order with no garlic aioli and the burgers had beetroot. The burgers had the cheap McDonald’s cheese and were a little on the dry side and the chips were far from fresh. Definitely not worth the $58 I paid for and won’t be spending my money there again until they make alot of improvements. The best part about this place was that it was...

A beautiful hidden gem of a cafe, tucked away near the cul-de-sac on a road that’s located to the left of the Stihl store. Lovely ambience and modern rustic industrial design. Clean and tidy amenities. Excellent customer service. The chai latte was delicious and served with a freckle chocolate to the side, it almost seemed to have a faint taste of malt. It was very delicious. Wedges served hot and freshly made with a generous amount of sour cream and sweet chilli sauce. The homemade chocolate brownie had a beautiful crunchy top, fudgey inside with nice chunky chocolate bits. I wondered if a touch of olive oil was used in the brownie as it had a delightful rich flavour. Highly recommend this cafe. Plant based foods available also. Small gift store inside. Parking options available, small car park for the OP Shop and cafe, as well as, street parking.

I love the Wivenhoe Dam drive, so decided I would stop in and check out the beans on the way. I am super glad that I did. The coffee I had while I was there was amazingly deep in flavour and the staff were all smiles and charm. I grabbed a kilo bag to try at home and with a bit of a tighter than usual grind, the pour was silky and amber. The “Eskpresso” Espresso blend is true to its word – Citrus and Brown Sugar… I also get roasted almonds as it cools in the cup. It’s just as comfortable in a long black, with plenty of body to spare. I haven’t tried it iced yet, I am sure it will be great and bring out more nuttiness. I will be adding this to my regular rotation. I don’t think I will get sick of this bean.
