After reading some negative reviews, especially about the atmosphere, I almost skipped Bunmee’s Thai Food Takeaway—but I’m so glad I didn’t! Over several visits on different days, I tried a variety of meals, and every single one was absolutely fantastic. The food is fresh, flavorful, and a great representation of authentic Thai cuisine.

Yes, it’s a simple takeaway venue, but that’s exactly what it’s meant to be. I don’t eat the atmosphere—I eat the food—and the quality, portions, and value for money here more than make up for any lack of frills.

Having travelled extensively, including to several Asian countries, I can confidently say Bunmee’s serves some of the best Thai food and also not so Thai, I’ve had in a long time.

Who ever thinks this food is any good let alone best Thai this side of Thailand then you’re delusional. I ordered two curries—the pandang and duck red curry—and both were utterly disappointing. Not only were they flavorless and overly watery, but the prawns were overcooked. The "duck" in one of the curries did not taste like duck.
