Why is it that when an establishment becomes popular, the service and quality of food becomes less important?

We normally spend around 15 to 200 dollars for every time we visit this place. Breakfast or lunch and some shopping from the fruit and veg section and the deli

This time, we were there from breakfast and whilst it was busy, it was not solid full! My wife was advised that there is 20min delay for food Fine we hall coffee and happy to wait. Bad mistake

4 other parties arrived after us and yep they got served before us and another couple that came in at the same time The “power broker come floor manager” said she will look into it 10 min later came out with our receipt and wanted to confirm this is our order. Sure is I said

Obviously they have not even cooking!

15 min later, breakfast arrived. My omelette was scolding hot and and was actually microwaved😱

When queried, she retorted that’s how we cook omelettes. Any first year apprentice know better. Obviously their cook was no where near qualified and worse still neither was she in management

Been coming to this cafe for awhile - reason being I only have a day off on a Monday & limited cafes open on a Monday in gympie. At the start the food was okay... nothing overly special but you knew what you were getting. Gradually it was getting worse each visit. Today when I came in for breakfast, it is definitely the final straw. I ordered poached eggs, bacon & halloumi. The bread was inedible, burnt and hard as a rock. The poached eggs I was told they couldn't cook medium, only soft or hard so they were also rock hard. The bacon was also not cooked in parts and burnt on other parts. Both myself & my mum couldn't eat much of either of our meals. The 2 stars are for the girl at the front counter who had great...

Oh dear what's happened , has the cafe changed owners ?? We were so disappointed in our lunch today , we came out of our way to come here and it was not good at all. I addressed my Thai salad issue with the waitress who kind enough to offer a refund or chicken replacement of the dried up sliced roast beef in my salad, I chose chicken and that was inedible as well ...My husband had the Aussie burger and he said the meat patty was not 100% meat but mainly a cereal substitute, what a shame .. thank you to the waitress for trying to fix we know she had nothing to do with food prep and we appreciate her customer service . We probably won't be back for food but coffee is still good .......
