Capella Pub is pretty good. Over the years it’s changed hands a number of times and has been updated. There is a photo of the pub probably in the 1970’s or so posted for you to see. Food: The food is good, it doesn’t seem to come out of a box unlike some places around. The salt and pepper calamari with salad is nice, it’s cooked well and not rubbery unlike others. The stakes look good and I am reliably told that they are nice, as is the pastas. Something that I didn’t like was the loaded spud; it was not that nice. They put a cheese slice in it and cheese slices just don’t melt. I wouldn’t order the loaded spud or potato again. Just a hint, call the meal what it says on the menu because I called it a stuffed potato and the young lady just looked at me stupidly. She had no idea what I was talking about. Temperature: The temperature of the meals are good. Price: Good pub prices and good value for money. They have a Senior menu and price plus a kids menu. Toilets: The toilets are good, for the most part clean. Payment: You can pay by card or cash. They have an ATM there so you can get money out if you need for a fee of course. Drinks: As for beer, I can’t say anything about them or most other alcoholic drinks, but my companions seem to be happy with the drinks and they are cold. If you go into the bottle shop that’s attached to the pub, they let you bring say your bottle of wine in and drink it. Parking: In Capella there’s plenty of parking, but if you are looking for disability parking, there’s none. This is something that needs to be rectified so people who have a disability can park closer. Yes, I understand that it’s council’s responsibility however, it’s something that the business can also address because businesses lose customers when it’s too difficult to get to it. Access: From what I saw, there’s two main access areas. The front from the Main Street and then the access from the main bar on the side. The access into the main bar from the side street, is the only pram and disability access available as there is none at the front entrance of the pub and into the accommodation. This is something that MUST be addressed and actioned by the owners and management, as it’s not good enough to expect people to walk through the main bar with a pram, walking sticks and more. There’s a high chance that someone could spill drinks and that the person who has mobility aids may slip on spills that have not been cleaned up. Also, the floor is not even. Overall: This is probably the best place to eat in Capella if you want to go out for dinner or get takeaway.

Great location, quiet setting. Owner is very personable and locally knowledgeable. Reasonably priced as well. Highly recommended.

My husband who is a Coeliac and I had lunch here today, after being assured they do true Gluten Free meals. Waitress was a tad unsure. She asked the cook then advised they could do rump or chicken. Hubby chose grilled chicken with potatoes and veggies, no sauces or gravies. Meal eventually arrived with chips on the plate not the requested potatoes. Called waitress over who was very lax to come and we said he is Coeliac, cannot have chips!!!and certainly not on his plate. She apologised and was extremely flustered but walked away! We originally asked to speak to the cook but this was denied many times👎👎 This place needs to lift it's game serving Gluten to a Coeliac. Will never eat there again. Staff desperately need training. Secondly my fish and chips meal was lukewarm when it came out. Our drinks were ok but for $52 meals were a...

the capella hotel motel is a wonderful place to go and have a quiet few beers, ice cold beers i should say, sometimes the glasses even have frost on them tell ya what that's alot better then 90% of the pubs that i go to. the staff behind the bar are amazing, i bought a chicken carbonara the other day and it tasted so well it was nearly like my moms, i had to go and tell chivani how well it was because oh my lord so devine for a pub feed. the bottlo they have there has a wide range off the varieties i like to drink, from double james squires to powers to even tooheys extra dry, bloody amazing place, i highly recommend coming here and i will continue to come here whilst the venue is still the same. i have to take my hat off to management because how can someone...
