Croc Xpresso Cafe — Restaurant in Queensland

Do NOT order the chicken burger!! Cheap and nasty chicken patty in a crumbed outer. Barely any chicken inside and what chicken was in there was surrounded by some disgusting white mush. Not worth the $17 at all. Staff were friendly enough but not communicating well with each other. We ordered a lasagne for the kids and just as they were bringing out the rest of our food, they told us they have no lasagne left. So the kids were left waiting while we ate our food as we had to order them something else. When the kids meal finally came, they had to wait for their poached eggs which they were going to dip the rest of their food in. The poached eggs did eventually come out when they had already finished the main bit of their meal, and they were slimy and undercooked so they got left.

Management need to pull their heads in or just get better Management. Waited over 50 mins for a burger and when I was talking to my wife about the wait the older gentleman that works there chucked a temper tantrum at us telling us that we should try working in that kind of environment (my wife manages one of the biggest venues in cairns). He was so rude to us as was the lady cooking. I get that they were under the pump but a better system or more staff is a simple fix and with how much they charge for their average food im sure they can afford more staff. At the very least let customers know of the wait before taking an order as they may not want to wait that long for a simple burger. Saw one family cancel their order because...

I wish I could give you 100 stars. Local to Malanda, we ventured to the Daintree post COVID to support the locals and have a family day out. With three starving kids in tow we found this little gem. My god I cannot express how fast the service was, three kids meals, fish and chips and a beef burger within 15 minutes, the food also perfectly cooked and beautifully presented. Both ladies should be highly commended for having the most outstanding customer service I have seen in years. The kids were so well looked after and even received a free ice cream for their help with taking dishes to the sink, even accomodating the Highlanders by turning on the AC while we sat down to eat.
