2025 Standards have dropped and prices have skyrocketed We purchased our food ($84) in total, and sat outside to eat, we had other customers complain to us that their food was stale and to watch ours. We politely said we had been before (2 years ago) and recommended the cafe prior. I purchased for two people A mushy pea pie which the pastry let go and the meat went into the bag, however these things can be overlooked if the pie is super tasty. It was an okay mushy pie with a 3 out of 5 A plain meat pie also average at a 3 out of 5 The bacon and cheese sausage roll was very doughy and stodgy inside and the bacon uncooked and pink looking and pastry soggy a sad 1 out of 5 A milk rocky road which was a 4 out of 5 A cinnamon scroll which i had 2 bites of and threw out it was so dry I also purchased 2 caramel trifles for dessert that night they were dreadful Too over done with a hard chunck of something at the bottom these were $8.80 each! (Binned these after two spoons from each) I also purchased 2 bags of biscuits The russian ginger (which this time were a little dryer than last time) And the rock cake type biscuits which were terribly dry and tastless. (Binned) So dissapointed This year was not so great And 2 drinks

2023 Super friendly owner Russian style cakes available Nice pastries Seating area available I suggested she come on down to Adelaide her food is very unique. She was totally lovely Thanks for the...

Not much in the hot oven, but not surprising considering what this town (and others like it) have been through in the past couple years! Drought, then flood - which doesn't get TO the town, but completely cuts it off! Shut down by Covid and then, just when it opens up again, another flood, cutting them off! Visitors need to be grateful little businesses like this are still around, serving their community and travellers passing through. Apparently today was the first time in a while they'd had a customer, and we were their sixth! No idea how they have any stock on the shelves in conditions like this, but they did. Had a muesli slice. Glad I bought two! Hubby had the lemon tart - was good. Iced coffee was delish, made with Icecream yum. Hubby's hot coffee was nice. Service was friendly. Gorgeous coffee?/tea? pots on display. C'mon Aussie, support...

This would have to be the best bakery in a small outback tradition that excels. The Russian lady that has run the place for the last five years is a brilliant baker that deserves all the accolades she can get. If you drive through dirranbandi without stopping you are missing out on the best experience for your taste buds. All the cakes are top notch all the pies and pasties are superb and if you love your taste buds have a try of the pryanik it's devine. Like a gingerbread only much much better. Then if you like Turkish delight buy 2 bags because the first one won't make it to the car. These people in rural drought affected Australia need your support as they are too proud to ask for it. Please stop and do yourself a huge favour and also help...

Coffee here is great both the normal and the decaf. The main thing is that it's run by a Russian woman who has been in Australia about 11 years and is a very qualified food technologist. The pies and pastries were excellent. The staff including her daughter-in-law who's been in Australia for 3 years are extremely helpful and courteous. This is definitely a place you can't afford to miss.
