Revisiting Gayndah on the 40th anniversary of starting work there back when they had banks! Couldn't wait to try the bakery that I'd heard good things about.

Great old school ambience, service pretty good. Chose country brekkie after a coolish ride out from Maryborough, chicken schnitz for son.

Wait times wayyyy too long for the slow afternoon client load, and inexcusable that one dish came out a long time after the other.

Schnitz was woolies deli providence, which was a bit of a let down, dressing was Masterfoods repack, another slap ... but I did get a laugh when son popped it open and it squirted all over him, chips stock standard frozen reheats. Salad looked limp. Having said all of this though hungry son thought the whole shebang actually tasted OK... so points redeemed.

Country brekkie was a monster - 4 slabs of toast, sausage, 2 thick slices tomato, 2 eggs, a pile of well cooked bacon, mushies and zucchini, hash brown and ... eeeeewww tinned spaghetti. Which we'll forgive for the knock ya sox off value of this huge dish. 5 stars here.

Good little spot to sit and watch the remnants of this once mighty town struggle on. Shame to see graffiti spewed down the side of my old workplace ... but nothing to do with the bakery. Might try their signature pies...

Drove through on friday on my way to Agnes Water with the family. Overall, wonderful! Best wrap I have ever had (Chicken and avo if you want a go!) The wrap was 9$ and well stuffed with salad and cheese and meat. Where else do you get a hearty meal for so cheap??? Capitalism means young people like myself find it hard to get good food at an affordable price. This place reminds me of happy times from my childhood! I am incredibly poor myself, on an all expenses paid holiday by my better off mother, and it was so refreshing to not see a wrap at 25$ for once! Please check these guys out if you're near Gayndah. Absolutely...

Mum ordered fish, chips, and salad. It was cheap and excellent, especially for the price. I tried a few chips, and they were great. Salad was not just some mixed leaves, and it was fresh. Dad had a pie, which was okay. That's dad speak for good. He loves his mince pies. My chai latte was good. Mum said coffee was nice. I'll definitely call in if passing through again. This time, I'll make...

Had a coffee and a sausage roll and my husband had a pie. Good service and nice coffee and food. What an interesting little town, the oldest in Queensland they said.
