I pop in to this cafe each time I pass through Goomeri, normally for coffee and sweetie, always good coffee, fresh food and exceptional welcoming service.This time the home made Indian spiced pies were too enticing to pass up, and a piece of fresh zucchini quiche. The steak Rogan Josh and lamb tandoori pies were absolutely top notch. From the good quality meat used to the homemade curry spice mix and light flaky pastry, wow. You have really nailed it. I just had a lovely steak, bacon and cheese pie and a great mocha here. Nothing pretentious, just good food and coffee. I enjoyed eating it on the table out the front, in the sun, looking across to the WW1/WW2 memorial. It was warm, quiet and peaceful. Sadly interrupted by someone who had to turn music on their phone (so that everyone had to listen- without asking the people already there). A perfect pie and mocha interrupted by ignorance. Super friendly, we were the only customers when we arrived 35 min before they closed. The girl explained meals to my little granddaughters, kept smiling at repeated questions, had patience with my exhausted dithering & brought our meals outside to where we were sitting. The food was great. One of the best hamburgers I've had (my usual 'try-out' dish) & everyone else was also very pleased with theirs. We made sure we finished in time to help them take in the tables and they thanked us profusely. We'll certainly go back next time we're passing...
