Aly's Exceptional Service is the Reason I Return

I would like to take a moment to commend Aly, whose outstanding customer service is the primary reason I continue to visit this establishment. Aly consistently demonstrates professionalism, warmth, and an approachable, positive attitude that truly sets her apart.

While I find the food to be fairly ordinary, I believe there is significant opportunity for improvement in the quality and standard of the menu. In addition, I have noticed that the service from other staff members does not meet the same level of professionalism. In particular, the ladies working in the gaming (pokies) area would benefit from learning to greet patrons with a smile and a more welcoming approach.

There is also an older staff member with dark, curly hair who appears to lack basic bar skills and often displays poor manners. In any hospitality environment, politeness and approachability go a long way in shaping the overall customer experience.

Went to the pub Sunday night the 15th table of 3adult 1 child. Took 59mins to get our meals. Thankful only half hour for the child’s meal. The pub was extremely quiet. However still had to wait 59mins for our meals. We even watched the staff member who took our order get her meal before us. I had the chicken stack and it has always been dripping in sauce, however this time there was no sauce at all. A friend had the 250g rump (he is a big steak eater) and didn’t finish it because it was terrible. My other friend had the calamari, said it wasn’t the best and was lacking in size from previous time she had ordered the meal. The child’s meal was the same as usual. We spoke to the manager for that night, received refund for steak and sauce for chicken to take home. We have been going to this pub for many many many years and have never had a disappointed experience until that Sunday. Unfortunately we will not be returning. Honestly think the pub will go down hill from the purchase of the new owners, as we even noticed the usual staff members that we have always seen working there, no longer...

The new owners modernised the hotel gave it an uplift with fresh paint. The hotel looks very inviting however the food was disappointing. The previous owners paid attention to the quality of food they served. With the new owners the food is a hit and miss On 14/6/25 the bacon carbonara was cooked beforehand and reheated as the cream sauce separated and pasta was sitting on a pool of oil there was no creaminess to the dish. The cob loaf It was not a cob loaf. It was a loaf with oily bacon carbonara sauce and mozzarella cheese thrown on top it was awful.. The crumb steak was overcooked and tasted burnt The chips has no seasoning. The seafood basket was tiny and flavourless. And to this that staff were no where to be seen, the table was sticky and the wait time to get your meal was too long I really could not recommend this place anymore.
