The Gracemere Bakery — Restaurant in Queensland

A very early start for me in Rockhampton and was in the bakery at Gracemere before 6.00am. I was looking forward to these pies as they do rate well in reviews. I chose the cheese and bacon and the corned beef in white sauce. The cheese and bacon was a good size at 243 grams and the pie was completely full with a delicious mince gravy and generous amounts of cheese and bacon. The pastry was well put together and supported the pie till the end. Good pie 7.5/10 The corned beef and white sauce was also a decent size at 219 grams. The flavours were nice and the pie was full. It was a bit light on meat and what was in there was shredded pieces and no chunks. I was a bit disappointed in this pie. It was still good but would have been improved with more meat and less white sauce. The pastry was good. Still an enjoyable pie 6.5/10. I live in Mackay and needed to organise a cake for a celebration in gracemere I done this via phone so was not expecting anything outstanding. But I was so wrong.. The presentation of the cake was beyond what I ordered but they obviously took note of the need for me to have something special for my daughter even though I couldn’t be there. All guests commented on how yummy it was as well and that the sponge was so fluffy. Thankyou Gracemere Bakery for helping me make this night extra special...
