Harvey Road Tavern — Restaurant in Queensland

I was here last year & loved the Seafood Tier It was fantastic . $60 I think it was. Noosa charges $120 for 2 people in some places. The memory with my cousin & hubby. Everyone I spoke 2 remembered this platter. I was disappointed that they no longer serve this & if it is about cost than charge more. When u look at a steak meal they can range from $29-$40 . So a platter for 2 if it was about cost than charge more . We Seafood Lovers & Steak Lovers know that it is a special treat & expensive. So that said we ordered our meals. U know when u eat out & we eat out travel a lot & food presentation 2day is a lot different from yrs ago . They look & taste awesome. They're a master piece in itself. That didn't happen 4 us. My steak was lovely & cooked I suppose like a roast. My husband was worried about having 2 deal with steak in his teeth so didn't order a steak. He ordered the fish. I knew he wasn't full . He said the fish was more an entree size. I am a slow eater. I saved half my steak 4 him & he really enjoyed it because it was soft. I had an incident with my drink. I always have a Bitters Lime & Soda. I get disappointed that they often if they don't listen including my husband make Bitters Lime & Lemonade. I went back & was jokingly saying 2 the girl that sometimes this happens. Lemonade is 2 sweet. She asked me a couple of times Bitters Lime Soda & I said yes Soda a couple of times. I thought maybe she thinks Soda is Lemonade. I wanted soda. So she makes me another drink & doesn't put the bitters in so I said there was no bitters. She than said 2 me that she asked me twice about the bitters & if I hadn't been so rude about it she would have made it that way. Something like that. Now at no stage was I rude 2 her. She then picked up the bitters bottle & dumped the bitters in the centre of that drink . I told her that's not how u make it & I needed her 2 make me a fresh 1. I commented that I have been in this industry & very long time & then she goes well than u should know what it is like . She kept going on & I said 2 her that this conversation we were having should have finished a while ago with her. There was no care no pleasantness. Her attitude was what I didn't need. I just wanted her 2 make my drink properly. It's the only drink I have & I would like it 2 be a great drink. Lots of ice. Bitters swirled around the edges lime cordial or fresh lime & Soda. Wow lovely & cold. My drink was nothing like that. This young girl seated us when we came in & because I asked if we could sit further back away from the children family area she didn't want us 2 sit in that back area because it probably was all cleaned . We asked 4 a booth. There wasn't 1 free. I realize that we get good staff & great staff. My husband ordered our meals & drinks . Our experience last year was awesome. Loved everything . Apart from dropping my Ray Bans prescription glasses in their case. We had lunch at Tannin Sands Tavern & that was magnificent. We love the Mercure with their Buffet. We love their steaks cooked on the Hot Plate. I'll let my feet do the talking. Yr girl being like she was made my experience down . I will not return . However if u have the Seafood Tier back on yr menu please let me know 4 my next visit. We...

Don't do reviews as a rule.. but had to say I met my granddaughter here yesterday for lunch after she got off work, which meant a lot to me. Our family has done countless dinners, big celebrations and seen shows over many years at HRT. Always a good experience. Our server yesterday obviously didn't want to be there, I know we ordered just before 1.30 p.m. which is late but you weren't busy at all in the dining room and our order was accepted. Our 2 lunch plates were loudly banged down together when our food arrived at the table, and overall attitude from the ordering stage with this staff member right up until we left was obvious. Watched us til we had finished eating and couldn't wait to rush over to grab our plates. We were gone at 2.15 so had not been exactly dawdling at all. No polite interaction towards us at all. Very off-putting experience. We will always come to HRT, just a heads up on this one negative...

Had two amazing experiences at the Harvey road tavern this month.

The first being my 21st birthday which I held in the clinton function room. From booking, to organising and running the actual event, the staff at the tavern were perfect. Platters were well priced and generous servings, the room itself was a great size and the barstaff service was on point. Everything was completed with ease and a smile. I can't recommend them enough to host your next function!
