Mackay's Golden Sun Chinese Restaurant — Restaurant in Queensland

Ordered the honey chicken and small fried rice for 2 people. Portion size was what you would expect. The honey chicken was odd, the sauce was separated from the chicken and it didn't taste like honey atall- more like golden syrup. Probably the worst honey chicken I've ever had tbh. The fried rice was also odd, it had egg, shredded carrot and some sort of meat in it. A combination I've not experienced before. It wasn't bad but not amazing. As we are on holiday I doubt we will ever return, but if we lived here I might be tempted to try a different dish...

My husband chose this restaurant to celebrate his birthday. We were up from NSW visiting our daughter, who has just moved to Mackay. The 4 of us agreed it was the best Chinese we have ever had.
