Driving back to Brisbane after the death of my mother at Christmas and my father being rushed in to ICU at New Year yet there were more smiles at both occasions than there was at this Diner. It was the most depressing place I’ve had the misfortune of attending. When you see a young staff member screaming at an older lady (who I presume was the actual owner ) you wonder what happened to some of the youth of today. She continued to belittle the old lady in front of all the diners telling her that she won’t be doing this job or that job. If she had worked for me or spoken to my mother like that she would have had a kick up the backside. Unfortunately they had a sign on the door begging for staff. The food, the portions are large and it’s great value. If they got some new staff in I think they would do very well.

Don’t bother unless you want to eat mouldy food!!!! After waiting nearly 5-10 minutes to be served no one was inside doors open no customers besides us waiting to be served for 1 worker to appear from outside out the back, ordered a chicken and gravy roll and sat down outside only to see my roll had mould all over the bun, at that point my partner and I weren’t waiting around any longer to order/ fix new food.

We had previously stopped here for lunch and enjoyed it, this time we stopped for breakfast, never again 😔. The staff member was not very helpful, after several minutes of communicating our order, the food we received was not good, the raisin toast was basically burnt, a serving of toast wasn't toast it was uncooked bread. To top it all off, the toilets are in serious need of a renovation 🤢.

First time ever giving a bad review, but lord give me strength this experience was something else.

How do I even start? Myself and team were endeavouring in a ferocious road trip and needed to stop for some much needed sustenance.

Oh let’s stop at this cute diner we thought, in the words of Jeremy Clarkson “how bad can it be”

The results are in, very bad.

We start off with asking the staff if they have any gluten free options as it is a health requirement for my partner. She basically got laughed out and a list of items yelled at us from the back of the kitchen. The young lady at the register didn’t even know what gluten was. Sadly she was also quite rude.

Then we noticed at the time masks were mandated and legally were required. First time in my life I have been inside a establishment where the customers were wearing masks and 0 staff had masks on.

There I sat, 30 minutes for my simple cheese burger I had ordered and craved. After an additional wait the time had finally come. I was handed my Styrofoam container and opened to reveal what was a sad excuse for a cheese burger. What in fact I had was a dry bread roll, 2 slices of Woolworths cheese and I think a beef patty.

It was in this moment I knew this was the worst experience I have ever had. During the time it took me to attempt to eat it and leave I witnessed the staff take multiple orders to the wrong people and then make fun / mock customers who were also upset with their experience WHILE they were still in the diner.

This place honestly is the same as the ones you see on Gordon Ramsey’s kitchen nightmares.

WHERES THE LAMB SAUCE! actually I don’t want...

Purchased a hotdog and a small meal from the hot box.

We sat down and 15minuets later my partners hotdog was brought out missing the sauce despite the girl at the counter repeating 2 times to the lady cooking what was to go on it.

The lady cooking brought over the other meal and the girl who served us called out to her and informed her it was the wrong meal (chicken and veg, I ordered beef and pumpkin). She turned back to the kitchen and I assumed she would be getting the correct meal.

My partner had fully finished his food and we sat waiting for mine to be delivered to the table.

After another 20 minutes waiting my food was no where to be seen.

We approached the counter where the lady cooking was and asked her to when my food would be ready as we only stopped for a short break and needed to leave. She advised that someone had forgotten my food and I had to repeat my order to her.

Despite wanting to dine in it was handed to me in a takeaway container and I was given no cutlery. No apology for the mistake of food or anything was given and we left unhappy with the service.

I think it’s time the lady cooking...

we stopped there to have lunch and was extremely disappointed by the food and the service. the younger girl serving us was extremely rude when we were being exceptionally polite to both staff members that were on. there were dishes on half the tables inside and outside that had been sitting there for who knows how long.

i understand that when it’s busy and you have to make orders and take them while keeping everything clean is hard, especially with two staff. i have been there before but you always find time to start cleaning up….. no matter what. it’s not a good look to have piles of unclean dishes sitting on a counter.

burgers were served to us on saucers for mugs lol. chips were fresh but unsalted. gravy was cold when finally arrived after half an hour.

you can tell that with the amount of money they must be making from this place…. they could buy some better quality food to sell but you could tell that the veggies were old bagged ones from woolworths lol.

if you’re going to come here. just get something from the fridge and make sure to have cash as the eftpos machine was down. food is not...
