Tattersalls Hotel — Restaurant in Queensland

What an awesome pub with a great management team and Staff. Tahlia and Matt went out of their way to make us welcome and comfortable. We stayed at the hotels camp ground across the rd and the facilities were spotlessly clean and they had free washing machines. We found ourselves back there a few nights later after being flooded in at Birdsville. We walked in drenched and buggered after 9.5 hrs of some challenging road conditions. Given we were in swags and it was bucketing I asked if they had rooms as well as the camp site. No rooms but Tahlia was straight on the phone ringing around for us and getting two cold beers to us at the same time!! She found us accommodation that was ok with two working dogs on the back of the tray. Might I just say that this is the BEST experience of food and service at a pub I have ever experienced in my life. The food is unbelievably delicious, I had to go back again the next day after trying it for the first time for dinner. The food tastes amazing! great flavours, perfectly sized meals. The staff are all excellent and a huge thank you to all of the staff for quality service 2 nights in a row…. Especially the young staff members. Awesome country pub with very good food, cold beer and exceptional hospitality. Winton is such a friendly, welcoming town and Tatts is our adopted HQ every visit. On many occasions we have driven over a thousand miles just to have a steak and catch up with our mates here. Wish I could give them an extra star because they have also become dog friendly in the outdoor area. Rooms are very basic but priced accordingly and guests are able to relax on the upstairs verandah and enjoy watching the goings-on in the main street below.
