The Nest — Restaurant in Queensland

I was very keen to try this place as I always drive pass and never had the chance to stop and somehow it looked interesting. I went today and the staff wasn't very helpful. I was after a small iced latte and they made it a bit difficult to make it as they normally make them big and weren't sure how much to charge me for it, which I found a bit odd as I thought a small iced latte will be the same price as a normal latte but instead of heating the milk up they just add ice and milk. The lady said she just didn't want me to get used to asking for something they don't serve and made me feel like I was asking for something hard to make. I was pretty close to walk out but I didn't which I now regret as their raisin toast wasn't fresh and I the whole experience was very disappointing. When a café finally opened on McManus Street, the neighbourhood was a-buzz. For Whitfield locals, and those in the area, the Nest has proven to be a popular spot. The staff are courteous, the food is delicious, prices are good, and most importantly, the coffee is great. It is has become one of our favourite spots for getting a coffee, and babycinos for the little ones. The menu is not extensive but what you would expect from a small café; pastries, protein balls, various lunch items, juicing and more. First time visiting and it was such a lovely experience.

The staff were incredibly kind and even complimented both me and my dog, which was a sweet touch. I ordered a matcha and a pumpkin scone—the matcha was excellent, and the scone was massive, fresh, and served with delicious jam and cream. You can really tell they put care into even the simplest items on the menu.

The café’s interior is warm, cosy, and inviting, while the outdoor seating on the footpath is perfect if you’ve brought a dog along. I’ll definitely be back—next time, I’ll have to...
