Really disappointed with the food here. We really hoped to have a nicer dining experience and this was a disappointment. The restaurant wasn't very bust alas we waited about 45 for the entrees and over an hour for mains. First, we ordered the Lobster Aranchini, which was a piece of lobster, next to a slab of Aranchini - not combing these felt really lazy. Second, my wife ordered snapper which tasted very fishy, not nice to eat at all. I had the herbed lamb, the lamb itself was very well cooked, but everything else didn't really go well - was just a wet, tasteless mess. We also ordered a side of chips for $10. The chips were likely very cheap chips bought from a supermarket - not handcut, not premium chips that you would hope to pay for. Nothing that we received was salted, they provided salt, so we salted to out liking, but to have nothing salted seemed very odd and again quite lazy. We didn't complain instore as we didn't want to make a scene so I hope this helps improve the menu.

The location and the service was amazing - especially the waitresses who were...

2 stars. Food disaster slow service.

I'll keep it simple. It shouldn't take 25 minutes to take the food order after you receive your drinks. It shouldn't take 90 minutes to recieve your main.

The lamb rack was a total failure of a dish. There are two ways to serve a lamb rack. Pink and cooked properly, and the other way is what we were given last night. Pink and raw. Lamb fat is one of the most delicious treats when it is cooked properly. It should be rendered, soft, and dripping in concentrated flavour and oil. The fat in my rack was tough and raw. The fat was inedible which made the meat hard to access as it was still attached.

The cocktails were nice.

The people driving back and forth noisily underneath the outdoor seating was not.

Actually, 1 star....

The Vue is a wonderful addition to dining in Boonah. The food is 5* and so delicious.....everything is perfect!!! Monique, the regular waitress is fabulous and so mindful of everyone in the restaurant. She remembers you every visit and even knows your drink order and your favourites....aaamazing!!! My only small criticism is $12 for the garlic toasted bread....absolutely delicious, but $12 for 3 pieces a little steep....but in no way does this take away from the experience. The country view from the deck is superb and the log fires in winter wonderful. We have become regulars and just love it. Well done to Mikayla...

Very disappointing. Servers were nice and friendly but it took an hour to get served. Truffle risotto was undercooked. Main course offered no fish option, which would be preferable in 40C weather. It was too hot to be comfortable and they didn't offer extra fans or offer to move us inside and turn on the air conditioner. I can't remember the last time I've been so uncomfortable at a restaurant. But the caramelized ice cream was interesting.

First time here was a delight!! My friends & I are foodies & we were very impressed. We started off sharing the Baked Brie & Foccacia, then we all had the Herb crusted Rack of Lamb & OMG it was amazing! We all finished with the affogato for desert & it was lovely!! We will be returning to this beautiful place with the scenic outlook from the balcony. Friendly staff & quick service.
