We’ve had the pleasure of celebrating many milestone events, with Amreet’s (Flames owner and head chef) culinary creations always taking center stage. Most recently, we marked our father’s 90th birthday at the restaurant and Amreet went above and beyond, opening the venue exclusively for us on a Sunday, a day it’s usually closed.
At our request, he crafted a stunning array of tasting plates for entrée, followed by alternate mains of perfectly pan-fried barramundi on a bed of pillowy mashed potato, seasonal greens, and a special chilly and tomato salsa — a flawless match to our request for something spicy. The second main, a beautifully marinated, baked and seared chicken breast served on creamy risotto with seasonal greens, was equally exceptional. The presentation and taste were simply stunning. Every dish was a true reflection of Amreet’s passion, creativity, and attention to detail.
The service on the night, provided by Christine and Annabelle, warm, attentive, and professional, they helped make the evening feel effortless and special.
Flames isn’t just a restaurant; it truly feels like an extension of your own home. There’s a genuine warmth the moment you step inside. Just pop in for breakfast and you’ll experience the same beautiful, welcoming vibe.
Amreet deserves to be congratulated for creating a space where exceptional food and heartfelt hospitality meet. You leave not only well-fed but uplifted. For your next night out or special occasion, I wholeheartedly recommend Flames and the incredible team behind it — you won’t be...
Read moreI was invited here for dinner with a friend. We were greeted and seated by a young lady who was absolutely charming and gave first-class service. The lighting was so dim we could not read the menu. I was obliged to use my phone flashlight. The acoustics were like a cathedral: two sides were glass, the ceiling was high, so everybody's conversation reverberated making the din so loud we had difficulty hearing each other. My meal had a large quantity of high-quality lamb chops, but insufficient vegetables - and they were not properly cooked. The chops and vegatables were warm but raw - almost impossible to eat. My companion later told me her soup tasted awful. I sent my meal back and the waitress asked if I wanted another meal. I said "I think we will leave, thank you." We got up to leave and I walked to the counter and gave the waitress a tip. She was the only good part of our evening out. A man who I took to be the manager/owner assaulted me verbally with insulting language. I attempted to politely outline my complaint about uncooked food but he cut me off with a long stream of abuse, so we left the restaurant. CONCLUSION: I have had coffee outside during the daytime here and everything was fine. But, apart from food quality, eating indoors at night everything was wrong, and being insulted was totally...
Read moreDined at Flames with my wife for the first time and 2 other couples who have been there on numerous occasions. We were greeted at the front door and shown straight to our table, we requested a different table due to being right next to the counter and were accommodated with a smile. Entree's, main meals and sweets/coffee were all served hot and in a very timely manner. All of our group enjoyed their individual meals and commented that they would certainly come again. The only constructive criticism I have is that I thought the decor was a bit cafe like and having the offsite toilets was a minor drawback while still paying what I thought was full restaurant price. Overall, a fantastic night out and we...
