The Saffron Kitchen & Cafe — Restaurant in Rylstone

We are three couples travelling back to Newcastle after a big road trip through Victoria and NSW. We love Rylstone and we love this cafe and the quaint, quirky little shops on its Main Street. The jaffles were great and the toasted sandwich special, I have been told was amazing. I had to research what onion jam is but my guess it will feature in our future get together lunches. Cute little Cafe situated off of the main street of rylestone. Was fairly busy when we entered yet we received our food and drinks within minutes (quick service). The food / drinks were fine. But the pricing was great. A sticky chai and pizza jaffle for only $14? Thats great pricing in a world where most places charge $15-$18 for toasties these days. The BEST coffee, delicious gourmet jaffles and burgers and lovingly home made sweet things (just have a go at trying to choose between the burnt caramel slice and the date and walnut slice… it’s nearly impossible to do!)
