We visited during Gourmet Week and decided to grab a few pies for takeaway. Let me just say, I was blown away by the flavors. The Egg's Benedict Pie was rich, savory, and so comforting — such a unique twist on a classic breakfast. The Chicken Thai Satay Pie was packed with flavor, with the perfect balance of spices and creaminess that made every bite unforgettable.

The shop was bustling on a Sunday morning, which is always a good sign. While waiting for my coffee, I got to see all the freshly baked goods coming out, and everything looked so mouthwatering. I truly wish I had gotten a vanilla slice or tried a few more of their pies — the selection was incredible, and I was honestly spoiled for choice.

The staff were friendly despite the rush, and the atmosphere felt warm and welcoming. You can tell this place has a loyal following — and now I understand why.

I’m afraid that I’ve been to the LRG three times in the past 5 weeks and each time I’ve been disappointed. I go in a Sunday afternoon and order a coffee and it is not what I expected to get - it’s not extra hot, it’s not half strength and yesterday it was in a takeaway cup even though I sat down to drink it. On the two occasions when I ordered a sausage roll. It was as if it had been bought from a supermarket and yesterday’s potato pie was so hard on top that I took off the potato topping and started eating from the inside. We had Ryan from little red grape do doughnuts, macaroons and even a cake that looks like a huge doughnut for our wedding on the 30th Jan 2021. Omg exceptional, they looked amazing, tasted even better and were a huge hit with all of our guests. you can see the hard work, time and care that went into these, they were insane!
