Great hospitality. Great prices for a Tuesday lunch special with some meals at $15. My wife and I had the flathead in light batter with chips and a salad with dressing. Generous serve and tasty. Chips were crispy but over salted. Saw the large homemade rissoles with mashed potato grilled and small salad. Again, only $16 and a generous serve. So as we were passing thru this quaint town checking the incredible street art, we decided to get 2x takeaways of the rissoles meal. They were in cardboard enclosed containers which we did not check and found the side salad was not included. 🙁Unfortunately, again the chef over does the salt both in the rissoles and mashed potato. Please leave the salt for the customer to add on as required chef. Except for these small issues that can easily be sorted the meals were a great price. Lemon and lime bitters in Soda water was only $5 as well.

The serving sizes were very generous. We ordered the creamy garlic prawns (which were delicious we recommend!). The battered flat head was really great. The beef schnitty was fantastic and also the gado gado with prawns was super fresh and filling. Overall would recommend, it was a great lunch stop. Outside had a nice ambience as well with fairy lights and kids playground.

It felt like I walked onto the set of Cheers, where everybody knows your name. Sensational plate licking good food, exceptional service, a slightly weird old guy that drinks wine in the front bar and it’s personal. Can’t recommend this pub highly enough. An absolute staple of a venue when in the Eyre Peninsula

Inconsistent meals service, need better staff training and quality control.

On Tuesday, 6 jalapeno poppers were ordered and 6 jalapeno poppers were recieved. On Thursday 4 jalapeno poppers were ordered and 8 were received. I asked the wait person if this was the food for our table as we only ordered 4 and she replied yes because a portion consists of 2 jalapeno poppers. So which one is it? We also asked if it was possible to have the Sriracha aioli as a dipping sauce for the poppers. On Tuesday, a stringy and viscous melted cheese-type sauce came out while on Thursday we did recieve what tasted like the Sriracha aioli. Ordering the same thing on both occasions, we got different items.

On Thursday, we ordered two of the Oyster Paddles. My Gin and Tonic shooter came without an oyster in it. Staff corrected this after I brought this to their attention. The olive of my Dirty Martini shooter was sitting in the salt rimmed Margarita Shooter, which was different to the other paddle. The empty dishes of our starters were left on our table, taking up most of the space, leaving staff unsure of where to put the mains as the table was not cleared beforehand. The staff who looked after us on both nights very nice however more attention to detail...

We rolled in to Tumby on a Sunday of the October long weekend looking for a meal. Front bar staff were welcoming and directed us to the dining room. The dining room was packed and after a little bit of spice served to us for not having a booking, we were given a table. Meals were deliciously on point and we left full and satisfied. So, we will definitely be back, with a...
