Salty Cow — Restaurant in St Leonards

Absolutely atrocious. Spent $90 here waiting more than 30 minutes for a raw hamburger which wasn't cooked posing great risk if consumed, as it was burnt on the outside but completely raw on the inside. The menu said that two of our dishes included fresh salmon, yet one of them didn't have it at all and the other had low quality ham to substitute the salmon without any explanation. The place was dirty and prices were way too high. The glass where the food was kept was incredibly dirty. The only positive things about these places is the location and the waitress who was nice and welcoming. The other workers, especially the ones that work at the front, were rude and unpleasant. I took my 92 year old Mum to have lunch at the Salty Cow last week. She had a facial operation 2 weeks ago and this was her first time out. I explained her situation to the staff at Salty Cow and they suggested their soup of the day would be easiest for her to consume. As a side they made toast which they cut the crusts off to make easier for her to chew. This was such a simple act of kindness for which I will always be grateful. Decided to support a local business and what a waste of money. My friend has a food intolerance- had to repeat 3 times what she needed had to pay upon order, however- only to receive the wrong order and told we can't offer that but here's the bits of the meal you can have- which was missing the main parts of the dish- no mention of a change in price.
