Marcoola Surf Club — Restaurant in Sunshine Coast Regional

Went to order and was told by a rude young girl that there was no pork belly available and when I suggested they don't advertise it, the two rude young girls said "in that case we should cross everything off the menu" so implying they didn't have most produce? Where is their brains at and they were so very rude to me. They were more interested in making drinks for themselves at the front counter with whipped cream laughing amongst themselves (as children do) and flirting with another young boy diacussing getting their Ls and a party. Where is the training in hospitality? If i can give any feedback to Management its please train your children staff!!! Mind you when I asked for bbq sauce she followed through with giving me some if that counts for anything. Give this place a miss as the bistro is run front of house by rude children!!! They stood out the front gossiping discussing what they would be doing tomorrow, laughing that the milk in the front fridge was off? They went and placed it back in the fridge, Yes off milk? I would actually like to be contacted by Management as this really isn't on. The food was gross for all four meals it was such a let down. What surf club can you actually get decent service and a good counter meal without rude children...

My husband and his friend have been members of this club for around 28 years, so we have been coming to this club for a long time. Emily at the bar is the most professional and friendly staff member in the club giving good service with the biggest smile. Got up to order coffee and the good service stopped there with the food service staff member DAKODA the most musty and rude waitress I have ever come across, having her at front of house taking orders is a big mistake in judgement . Got our coffee and asking for sugar and a teaspoon was just too much for her to make an effort to provide, response from her was -is around the conner. Ordered food and asked her if she could break a $50 and the response was she could twice but didn’t. Upon collecting our food, once again providing a cutlery was an effort, when I asked her for some her response was by telling me-“some people use their fingers”?? At the end I told her a small smile goes a long way, her response I could not understand from underneath her musk, but I’m sure it would not have been pleasant one. On my way out I passed on this encounter and it would not surprise me if it wasn’t passed on as the attitude of the lady I spoke to was not a caring one. Disappointed and won’t be coming...

Terrible food and service. Had four rump steak specials and had to wait almost 2 hours on a relatively quiet night. Naturally by this point we were starving and almost anything would taste divine, but unfortunately we were completely mistaken. Our steaks were randomly cooked, with one still blue it was so rare. The staff were laughing and having a great time as if no one else were disgruntled. Wait times like this must be acceptable to them? Fact is, we heard complaints from multiple other tables experiencing the same dillema. I don't typically write reviews, but with the online ratings of this place exceeding 4 stars, I simply had to get the word out.
