Wara Sushi — Restaurant in Sunshine Coast Regional

First time dining here today for lunch with a bunch of girlfriends, 5 of us in a booth. Staff member greeted me at the door, i indicated that my friends were already seated.

None of us ordered any hot dishes or sides from the menu but took what we wanted from the conveyer belt when it came around.

Each booth had a digital screen for ordering. A automatic trolley robot? Haha went around delivering hot dishes to tables. I thought was pretty nifty.

Our table was given bottles of water and glasses. Our table all had sushi, Salmon baby roll, Vegetable big roll, Tuna and Chicken baby roll. I had the California big roll *pictured.

I really enjoyed it as it was with pickled ginger. The Vegetable big roll looked good too 😋

At the end we all took our plates up, paid individually according to our coloured plates.

Would happily dine here again! Would like to try some hot...

We go here weekly and the food is delicious, 10/10. However today we walked out before even ordering as one of the young front staff was rude to us for a second time this year (we've only seen her twice). The first time she was annoyed because we were there 1 minute before opening and she just gave us attitude and when bringing out the food she threw the plates on the table. Today she wanted us to sit at the bench seats and I asked if we could please sit in a booth, she told me the booths were being saved for families as it's the school holidays. I asked if it would be ok if we sat in a booth and if someone came in and needed it we could move and she got all huffy and said yer I guess. Busy new sushi 🍣 train opened in Maroochydore. My experience here was not great. Ordered through tablet (which is becoming the strandard), no sauce bowls on table (more were brought out and practically thrown at us), overwhelming amount of chicken n avo sushi rolls on train but not a great selection of other more speciality items, chicken was dry, green tea is a tea bag in a cup, service was rushed with minimal interaction and the only redeemable feature was the novelty robot 🤖 which brings some food upon order. Not sure I will be back as I have had better experiences...
