Terrible experience and will not go back! We decided to order Churros for desert after going out for dinner on a Saturday night. We ordered churros to takeaway, my partner used the toilet (a few mins walk) walked back then I went to use the toilet so about 10 mins since ordering, a young girl comes around and informs us that the Churros will be a 15 min wait. I lined up and asked for a refund as we did not want to wait, I decided to get an ice cream instead as that should be quick and easy.....wrong. The staff member decided to keep taking orders and during this time a man came to the counter asking for a refund as he had ordered a flat white and had been waiting 30 mins and he could not wait any longer. So then the young girl goes to get my ice cream for some reason in a cup which I never asked for so I said I would like it in a cone she disappears out the back with the other staff member doing who knows what for a long period, she returns with a cone and proceeds to scrap the ice cream onto the cone.....where the cone finishes is where the ice cream finished (so no ice cream above the lip of the cone) I was like you have to be kidding me, I said to her is that it? She said yes I said I want my money back you have put hardly any ice cream in that, the other staff member then angrily responds that's a single scoop cone and I said well I am not happy and want my money back. I could not believe what a joke that was, I wish I had taken a photo it was pathetic.
Clearly this place is suffering from lack of staff....but really WHO ISN'T?? Thats not an excuse for poor service. The reviews for this place are all 1 star recently, and alot of the response from management seems defensive and making excuses....take accountability and better manage and train your staff, as a small business owner myself for 15 years this falls on management stepping up and taking...
Read moreWent to the store at approximately 8pm for a hot chocolate and some churros with my partner. The night was quiet, a few customers but no food or drinks on the tables.
I took a seat while my partner ordered and overheard a young man (who I later found out was the “new” manager) screaming terrible profanity and jumping up and down like he was experiencing an episode of some sort.
Once advised by my partner that the wait would be 30-40 minutes plus, I suggested we get a refund and come back another night.
We were requesting a refund when the young man completely lost it in front of his staff and all of the customers watching. Throwing packets of coffee beans, and slamming tin trays into the walls and the floors.
I had genuine concern for the two young girls who were working with him, as they were completely shocked and fearful at this young man’s reaction. My partner suggested we contact security and the young girl on the counter agreed. Both girls remained calm and level headed and managed to continue working in a professional manner. I highly appreciate the way the girls handled themselves and do not believe they deserve this type of work environment.
This was a very public and shocking display of pure unprofessionalism. A display like this deserves severe consequences and if what I’m saying has any weight at all, there should be immediate action.
Based on what I observed, there needs to be more adequate training of the internal data base system for Managers. For a Manager to not know how to process a refund and act in such a way is...

Ordered our churros and got told there will be a half an hour wait- no worries, we are happy to wait! Went for a walk came back 20 minutes later and all of the same tables were still dirty while five staff members are working. Very painful to watch elderly customers bring dirty dishes up to the counter while one of the workers is LEANING on benches talking to her colleagues… Ended up waiting 40 minutes for cold churros delivered to our table in a take away box and dipping sauce like paste. Customers all around us ordering from the QR codes on the tables that didn’t seem to be working (some customers waiting up to 45 minutes for their items). I’d also like to add that I think the addition of some music in the dining area would have made it feel a little more cozy and create more of an atmosphere! I feel terrible for the staff and anyone that visited this restaurant tonight… Service, management, staff and general practices need a serious revamp. We used to love coming to this San Churros and have been coming for years but unfortunately I don’t think we will be returning until...
