My recent visit to Amritsari Dhaba was truly an outstanding experience. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warmth and genuine hospitality. The owner, who is incredibly friendly and welcoming, made us feel like we were part of the family. It’s rare to find such personal attention in a dining establishment, and it added a special touch to the entire evening.
The food, though, is where Amritsari Dhaba really shines. Every dish we tried was bursting with authentic, rich flavors that took me straight to the heart of Amritsar. The spices were perfectly balanced, and the freshness of the ingredients was evident in every bite. Whether it was the buttery naan, flavorful curries, or the signature Amritsari kulcha, each dish left us wanting more. It’s clear that a lot of love and passion goes into their cooking.
On top of the incredible food, the service was exceptional. The staff was not only quick and efficient but also attentive to our needs throughout the meal. They checked in on us regularly, making sure we had everything we needed without being intrusive. The level of care and attention to detail made the whole experience feel effortless and enjoyable.
Amritsari Dhaba is the kind of place that leaves a lasting impression. The combination of amazing food, outstanding service, and a welcoming atmosphere makes it a gem of a restaurant. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for an authentic dining experience. I’ll definitely be...
Read moreAmritsari Dhaba in Doonside is an absolute hidden gem for anyone craving authentic North Indian flavors. We tried a variety of dishes, and honestly, each one brought something special to the table.
The goat biryani was rich, aromatic, and perfectly spiced — tender meat and long-grain basmati rice cooked to perfection. The Indo-Chinese noodles were a surprising hit — that perfect balance of desi spice and Chinese-style stir-fry, full of veggies and wok-tossed goodness.
Their signature Amritsari chole kulche absolutely lived up to the hype — fluffy kulchas with that crispy-charred edge, paired with bold and spicy chole that had just the right amount of tang and heat. The sarson ka saag was incredibly authentic — creamy, comforting, and paired with makki di roti that took us straight to Punjab.
We also ordered the veg thaali, which was generous in portion and perfect for those who want to sample a bit of everything — from dals to sabzis to raita and dessert, it really hit the spot.
On top of the great food, the service was friendly and welcoming. The atmosphere is simple, clean, and all about the food — which is exactly what you want from a proper dhaba-style experience. Prices are very reasonable for the quality and portion sizes.
Highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for legit Punjabi comfort food in Sydney. Will definitely be coming back to try more...
Read moreSo disappointed in the food, the 70 minute wait after I ordered my food and then when it came out, it literally looked like a frozen meal was heated up and put my table. I used come here for the Kulches all the time, they were great. Either the chef has changed or there is less staff because the wait time, the high prices being charged for this ridiculous food is terrible. Even had to wait for someone to get us a takeaway container for 20 minutes more after asking multiple times, even table water for the 2 hours we were seated there, nothing, is the staff not trained to bring out water or atleast bring out water when asked? There’s not one thing that we can say we enjoyed here, used to recommend it but now sorry to say that we will only have negative things to say about this place and the food. The wait staff girls were really soft and nice and it is not their fault at all, it’s all in the management and the chef, need better training, better quality of food and also just like in any other restaurants, inform the guests about the long wait time so they are aware and not disappointed with the service like we were. I didn’t even take photos of the emails we had because I wasn’t interested in wasting my time on a review, but it’s good for the community to know what this...
