Café Relish — Restaurant in Sydney

Sat 24 Aug 2025 very poor show today. BAD VALUE ! Avocado mash on sourdough ( no eggs (2) thanks) only one slice and half a slice with a table spoon of avo on each such a small miserly serve $20 ( I was charged for the 2 eggs) penny pinching measures so disappointing. My friend had the avo mash toast AND the 2 eggs and she had a teaspoon of mash on each of the toast. I pleasantly made my displeasure known and was given a free coffee. I am a local, eaten here many times before - may be a new chef no management in charge all young kids working there but a mature age chef I noticed. REVIEW EDIT,,, (I have since had 2 more coffees from Relish and both much better than the 1st) original review follows: $5 coffee is becoming the trend all over Sydney im not saying this is the reason why I'm giving 2 stars only,,,, our cappuccino's ordered came out like flat whites ,,,,,, cafe very busy however no excuse for making a cap that looks flat as a tack. Coffee needed more flavour being a large and with skim milk should be reasonably stronger tasting! overall it was ok 2.5...

For $26, I was hoping for more from the Eggs Benedict, which had barely a couple of tablespoons of hollandaise sauce. Super disappointing. And the poached eggs were tiny. The bacon was good. But on top of this, the tables were dirty (bird poo) and sticky, and the menus were in dire need of a deep clean. The music (hectic dance music) wasn't great either - clearly played for the benefit of the staff, not the (much older) clientele. I won't be rushing back,...
