Cranzgots Pizza Cafe — Restaurant in Sydney

The pizzas here are some of the best I've ever tasted, to put it simply. It use to be one of my favourite takeout places when I lived in Palm Beach growing up. Sadly I don't live in the area anymore and haven't for some time, but looking at the other reviews it seems they have kept up with their top notch pizzas and service. They have some creative ideas for toppings, all of which work well together. Some may find the price on the high side, but it's well worth it, and you need to remember that the rent prices in this area are nothing short of astronomical so they need to make sure they can afford to stick around, and considering they've been operating for over fifteen years now (I think) they have proven themselves in my opinion. Usually you wait about ten or fifteen minutes for your takeaway pizza. Last night we waited forever with our hungry kids on our laps and watched as another customer get served their additional pizza before we got the first one we'd been waiting for... I told the waitress that it wasn't right. The chef called out from the kitchen that his buddy had ordered it in the surf that afternoon. I stood up and told him no that I had been there and seen and heard the whole thing. Then he started asking if I was a local, talking over me and just continuing to lie.

I told him to just own up to it and apologize but he was rude all the way until we got our pizzas. My kids talked all the way home about the rude man in the restaurant.

First time ordering as we are staying for a holiday. And the pizzas are truly delicious better than most commercial pizza restaurants. Full of flavour, perfectly cooked and reasonably priced. We tried the margarita, meat lovers, pepperoni and ham and pineapple and they were all delicious. And they are made traditionally (thin crust pizzas) . The staff were super friendly, enjoyed a laugh and had a great family owner vibe. Atmosphere was pretty chill and relaxed. Service was relatively fast considering we ordered quite a few pizzas and everyone else in the restaurant had several orders too.
