CAFE SI:ZAC — Restaurant in Sydney

We just dropped in here after a doctor’s appointment. I gave 3 as the food was alright but the service was funny. Probably the staff are underpaid, they hardly smiled and were not excited at all. I wanted to order the special and asked if it comes with chicken, the guy had to go inside kitchen to ask that 🙄 I saw later it was written on the black board in front of the cafe and was quite surprising he didn’t know it. And funniest part was my husband ordered the dish with chicken n eggs by showing him a picture of it from reviews for the cafe. He ended up getting cooked chicken shaving which is cold and not grilled like in the picture we showed. Looking for a little cafe Discovery in Epping...? Then I would recommend this gem. Cafe Si Zac provides an all day menu and your usual variety of coffees. The coffee is smooth to drink and great to taste. I had the veggie sandwich which consisted of eggplant, halloumi, tomatoes, mashed avo and rocket, all encased between two nicely toasted slices of sourdough bread. Although a little oily due to the eggplant, the flavours and the seasoning was spot on. Repost after 18 months: back to old hostile ways. The guys who run the cafe seem very whimsical. Coffee is good but the bakery around the corner have seriously upped their coffee skills

Repost after 9 months: Service has significantly improved. Don't seen hostile anymore and coffee is pretty good.

First post: Everyone seems to have good things to say but staff always feel hostile whenever I come in for a coffee. May be just my experience. Anyways. Time to find...
