Chubby Buns Burgers Blacktown — Restaurant in Sydney

It was my first, and unequivocally last time ordering from Chubby Buns Blacktown, let alone the business as a whole.

Ordered two burgers and a loaded fries. The store advertises Wagyu beef patties, but don’t be fooled, you can slap the name on the most cheap, inedible grounds of beef you can buy, shape it into a patty and sell it for a premium direct from the manufacturer with what amounts to nothing more than a buzzword to project quality beef when it’s anything but.

Definitely not worth the $12-$13 I unfortunately spent on those abominations Chubby Buns call a burger.

Same goes for their “Southern Fried Chicken” burger, which is obviously not Southern fried chicken and would never be considered such even if the poor chicken that was used for this falsely leading advertising came back to life and took a chunk out of the owners thigh. The chicken is more akin to a schnitzel or chicken fried steak.

These burgers have SEVERELY dropped in quality. Meat is gristly, burnt and not seared. Taste like those pre frozen burgers you take out of the packet(photo example below). Has no freshness or flavour. Their melted cheese is now akin to yellow toxic sludge. The buns are bland and doughy. Just an absolute assault on the taste buds. Unfortunately chubby buns has gone the way of all formerly hype new and delicious burger places (Grill'd, Betty's burgers etc etc ) they've traded out good food for fast food. I'd be willing to wait longer if it meant I cod get a decent feed. With this level of quality I would've been better off going to McDonalds and filling my stomach with cheap garbage that's actually cheap. When I first had Chubby Buns burgers I had friends TAKE ME THERE to specifically try the fantastic taste of this once great Sydney brand. Now, I wouldn't take my dog to eat there . Saaaaad. 🥲

The chips were nice and crunchy and the coke Zero can cold tingly and fizzly....
