Really disappointed by our service at this cafe. Particularly one really rude man who was either the manager or owner. We were enjoying a long awaited catch up with family and their two dogs who are really well behaved and sat under the table 99% of the time. However for about 30 seconds they got really excited about another dog arriving and began barking (yes loudly but only for an extremely short period as we were beginning to calm them down), this man walked up to us and asked us to leave before we were even finished our drinks simply because our dogs were a little excited for a minute and before we even had the chance to calm them down properly we were asked to leave as his words "this is a restaurant not a dog park, go across to the park if they're going to bark", we were polite and said ok even though we were upset that my sister in law didnt even get to finish her smoothie and wasnt offered a take away cup when told to leave so we had to leave a half drunk smoothie behind (small thing yes but still we paid for it so it's a bit frustrating). Then as the man walked away he spoke loudly enough for us to hear "god I hate dogs"... If you hate dogs then why did the person on the phone say it was dog friendly when we called 3 hrs beforehand to book a table. We warned you many times that we had two dogs coming just to make sure it was ok at your cafe and was told yes its fine. Also why is there a dog bowl out the front? This to me as a dog owner indicates that the place is dog friendly. I'm sorry that you don't like dogs, you're ofcourse entitled to that opinion but please don't be so rude to your customers simply because our dogs bark for a few minutes and you dont like the sound. No one in the cafe was upset with our dogs, only you. So why did we have to leave our drinks behind that we paid for simply because you dont like barking? When we were sat down at a table the waitress apologized to us because there was some work being done right next to us, we didnt complain once about the loud drilling right next to our table or the work men standing next to us chatting loudly while we were enjoying our lunch with our family, we simply shrugged it off and said to the waitress it's fine. So why are we not treated the same way for our dogs making a bit of sound? Also, the cheese burger was awful and bland tasting. However other food and drinks were nice. Sorry for the rant, but this really ruined our morning and upset my family as we were enjoying our catch up at what we thought was a lovely dog Friendly cafe...guess...
Read moreI enjoyed many of the food in the past. The coffee were in the high price range (6.5 for ice long black).
However, today i was truly disappointed. First, the menu changed its price and now they charged me $7 for a small-mid ice long black. (More expensive than any cafes i been in the past)
Second, the beef burger i order so many times in the past ( and enjoyed - real juicy beef, with eggs and slightly crisp bacon) were really hard to cut through with the knife. The bacon, were so hard that even a fork couldnt 'stab' through. The beef! So dry. Now, all that i can understand and I wouldnt complain if the egg did its job, but it obviously didnt. Also, i think the chief forgot their sauce cause mine didnt have any ( or they took it out in 'updating their menu'). Last week, i wanted something new from the menu and tried the veg breakfast, but it was toooooo salty ( left more than half of my food to waste - there was no point of me ordering smth healthy that day lmao)
Really disappointed. I think i wont come back here. Well at least...
Read moreFriday was such a beautiful day decided to go out and have brunch here. Had ordered home delivery once in the past that was very bad so thought I would give them a chance to redeem themselves in person and they did just that. Upon entering the tardis Cafe that is so much bigger on the inside than it looks from outside we were greeted quite friendly by the staff who gave us menus and told us to sit anywhere we wanted. Ordered eggs Benedict with bacon, lactose free mango smoothie and lactose free vanilla iced latte. The drinks were absolutely delicious. The eggs Benedict were runny and gooey and everything you want in an eggs Benedict. The only criticism is the sour dough toasted was over toasted and rock hard. Other than that it was...
