⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Authentic Flavours and a Warm, Bustling Atmosphere — A Must-Visit!
Delhi Darbar near the Northern Beaches is an absolute gem of a restaurant. The location is incredibly convenient and easy to get to, whether you're a local or just exploring the area. The moment you walk in, you're greeted with warm hospitality and the comforting aroma.
Be warned though — it’s popular! Even on weekdays, the place is packed with regulars and new diners alike, which speaks volumes about the food and service.
Now let’s talk about the food — simply beautiful. Every dish we ordered was rich in flavor, freshly prepared, and beautifully presented. The spices were well balanced, and nothing felt overly. It’s clear that the chefs put a lot of authenticity into their cooking. From the fluffy naans to the creamy curries and flavorful starters, everything tasted just right.
The atmosphere is lively and vibrant, perfect for a casual meal with friends or a comforting dinner with family. It has just the right mix of homely and festive — a real reflection of Indian hospitality.
Highly recommend Delhi Darbar to anyone craving delicious Indian food in a cozy, bustling setting. We’ll definitely be...
Read moreQuite disappointed overall. We were not greeted/welcomed at all, the customers have to do the hard work of finding staff, asking for water several times, cutlery and crockery (nothing was spontaneously provided for our little one as we were placed on a tiny table for 2). It's really overpriced for ultra spicy food (using cheaper spices), especially the chickpea potato entrée: covered in a lot of sauces (quantity poured over, 3 different sauces) which means that you don't even know what you are eating. I specifically said that this was for our 17mo. She couldn't eat it. Plus it was too spicy. I finished it with my husband because we were starving and as it was busy, we didn't know when we would get mains. The buttered bread was cut in 2 and butter put in the middle so it was slipped because the 2 bits and went on the napkin. Overly salted for both breads (roti) and undercooked. We have been to much better indian restaurants, cheaper with a friendly service acknowledging each customer, however young, and also with delicately fragrances food. This place is relying on their...

If I could leave zero stars I would. This "restaurant" can not advertise coconut cream and a little bit of vegetables as "indian food".
Samosas you get from the frozen section at Cole's taste 10x better than these stale/chewy, microwaved, examples they provided.
Naan breads were stale, microwaved and tasteless (they even forgot to give us one - which I was actually happy about that)....
I have absolutely no idea what they gave us when we ordered onion bhaji...they looked like something they found under their cooking station, dipped them in red dye before microwaving.
The restaurant that was 100% empty except for two young wait staff standing at attention next to the owner staring into the distance, this should have been the sign to turn around and walk away.
Would have much rather spent the $120 on someone to kick me in the stomach for an hour straight, than whatever this place...
