Order at your peril. This is by a country mile the worst takeaway experience I have had in my 11 years in Australia. Where to begin………the prices…….very, very expensive for an Indian takeaway. Twice what you will pay in Sydney. Then we move to delivery time……..2 hours for a delivery considering we were staying 10 minute drive away from the restaurant is incredible. Called a few times and told random excuses about the driver getting lost??? It is a 10 minute drive in a straight line from the restaurant to our accomodation…..figure that one out. No apology from the driver upon arrival about being 2 hours to get to us. Still, with an open mind and after paying almost $100 for the takeaway I was hopeful of a tasty Indian…….How wrong was I. Honestly, the very worst Indian I have ever had the displeasure of eating. The starters of chicken tikka and lamb chops were awful. There was literally no taste of any spice, bland chicken which seemed to have been boiled and flung together. The chicken madras was more disappointing which is incredible considering how bad the starters turned out. Chicken Madras which basically tasted like a bland coconut curry……..the garlic and cheese nan’s ordered…….more taste from frozen ones in coles. We proceeded to bin the majority of the takeaway fearing if they cook this bad who is to know if they have cooked the meat properly - genuine fear. To summarise, if there was an award for the worst takeaway experience in NSW and the least tasting Indian takeaway in Australia i would personally drive the tandoori Sizzler towards the award. If you could give a score of minus 1000 it still wouldn’t be enough for the this place. Order at your own risk people, they are a disgrace of an Indian takeaway.
Hi Tandoori Sizzler,
Although I appreciate your response I do not accept the comment on individual palettes. I am a keen lover of Indian food and have not only travelled to India, I have been to and enjoyed many Indian meals across the globe. I am not being rude but in my humble opinion, your food was the least Indian I have ever tasted. I think it’s only correct I am honest.the price I paid for that meal is genuinely shocking.
I did not take the offer of the free Indian meal as to be frank the meal delivered was so bad I couldn’t face eating any more. Hopefully this feedback travels to your kitchen and your Menu prices!

Read moreI was struck by the warm and inviting atmosphere. The decor was beautifully done and the ambiance was perfect for a cozy dinner with friends or family.
But let's talk about the food - oh my goodness, it was absolutely delicious! The menu had so many options to choose from, but one dish that really stood out to me was the goat curry. The meat was incredibly tender and the spices used in the dish were perfectly balanced. I could tell that the chef had put a lot of care and attention into every aspect of the dish.
Aside from the goat curry, I also tried a few other dishes and they were all fantastic. The naan bread was soft and pillowy, and the biryani was bursting with flavor. I really appreciated the variety of vegetarian options on the menu as well - it's always great to see a restaurant catering to different dietary needs.
Overall, I would highly recommend erawat Indian restaurant to anyone looking for delicious food and a cozy atmosphere. The service was excellent, the prices were reasonable, and the goat curry was truly exceptional. I can't wait to go back and try...
