I have always enjoyed Glenorie RSL but after tonight, will not be back. I have given a one star rating but should be zero. A table of 6 people, only half the drinks arrived, the other half had been completely forgotten about with the docket still sitting at the bar. After going to the bar and enquiring, they eventually arrived with no apology. The food took an 1.5 hours to come and apart from the prawn laksa, everything else was subpar at best. The chicken Parma arrived with just a small handful of chips on the side and no salad. Even if you have run out of salad, the least you can do is let us know and offer an alternative instead of putting the food In front of us with not even a smile and running off. Very Very disappointing, Glenorie RSL, you can do better. Unfortunately you have lost a regular...
Read moreTucked in behind the Glenorie Woolworths, Glenorie RSL is very clean, new and has a good amount of parking. The drinks were about standard prices for an RSL but the food was particularly good! I had the chicken parmi' and enjoyed it to the end of the plate! Other people I was with had a range of dishes and they all enjoyed their meals, too. The bar staff were terribly slow. I got the feeling I wasn't recognised as a local so was getting brushed off a bit. Not the worst thing to happen in my life. There is a very large covered, outdoor area and an even larger, fenced grass area that the kids play on which included play equipment. You could eat and drink in the outdoor spaces and there was live entertainment. Ode at 1800. A very family...
Read more4 stars for the 2 guys who checked the 3 of us in. 0 stars (“oh I’m just tired”, when I asked “are you ok?) to the uninterested young girl who served us in the restaurant (2 star average). Our one and only night in Glenorie and the local family we are staying with highly recommended the RSL for a “good meal”. On entering the restaurant we were handed 3 menus and a table number and were told to “take a seat and someone would be over”. We didn’t dare approach the bar where we would have bought at least 2 drinks each (6 drinks in total) not to mention the $10 tip the bar staff missed out on. What a...
