We decided to call in to WPH to grab some diner on our way up to the coast. After ordering pizza, we had 15 min to kill whilst it cooked, so went for a walk. Standing in front of ice cream, yes please! I don’t know exactly what I was expecting, but what was in front of us was a taste sensation unlike anything my poor deprived ‘Aussie’ taste buds have ever experienced. The gentleman who served was full of knowledge and you could sense his love for the food he created. He seemed to delight in educating me on Indian flavor combinations and desserts I have never tasted before. The pizza was a distant memory from the first taste. Custard apple, mandarin, pineapple, watermelon and more. I don’t believe I have ever tasted a dessert as spectacular. The service was phenomenal. Loved the flavours - gauva, rose and the Gulab jamun flavours were our top choices. Indian flavours may be unusual in Sydney- but these are so good they're likely to be favourites soon.
Haven't tried the momos ( Nepalese dumplings ) but the chai options look good.
Spotlessly clean, good service ( i think we tried a taste of every flavour and the staff did not lose it) and ice cream that doesn't break the bank. The "moral tales" from India were a blast from childhood that were a nostalgic delight.
