As I stepped into Jaggis to celebrate my 50th birthday, little did I know that I was about to embark on an unforgettable culinary journey that would not only tantalize my taste buds but also warm my heart. From the moment I walked through the doors, I was greeted with an ambiance that exuded elegance and charm, setting the perfect tone for a night of celebration.
Upon being seated, I was immediately struck by the impeccable attention to detail in the restaurant's decor, which effortlessly blended modern sophistication with classic charm. The warm lighting and plush seating created an inviting atmosphere that made me feel right at home.
But it wasn't just the ambiance that impressed me; it was the impeccable service that truly elevated my dining experience. His genuine warmth and dedication to ensuring that my celebration was flawless did not go unnoticed, and I am truly grateful for his exemplary service.
And of course, no review of Jaggis would be complete without mentioning the man himself, Jaggi. It was an honor and a privilege to receive his personal well wishes on my special day, a gesture that speaks volumes about the personal touch that sets Jaggis apart from the rest. His passion for hospitality shines through in every aspect of the dining experience, and it's clear that he takes great pride in ensuring that each guest feels valued and appreciated.
Now, onto the main event: the food. From the first bite to the last, every dish that graced my table was a masterpiece of flavor and presentation. Each dish was thoughtfully crafted using the finest ingredients, resulting in a symphony of flavors that danced across my palate with every bite. From the succulent seafood to the tender cuts of meat, every dish was a testament to the culinary mastery of the chefs at Jaggis.

Read moreI booked this restaurant online two weeks in advance for Valentine’s Day, and at no point was it mentioned that they had a set menu. When we arrived, the place was absolutely packed—which, fair enough, it’s Valentine’s Day—but the lack of organisation was immediately apparent. The owner (or who I assume was the owner) confirmed our booking, but despite having a reservation, there were no allocated tables. We were only “lucky” enough to be squeezed in near the bar—though given the experience that followed, I wouldn’t call it lucky at all.
After being seated, we were handed menus, but barely a minute later, a rude waitress snatched the drinks menu right off our table without even asking if we were done browsing. It was chaotic from the start. We waited 20 minutes before anyone even acknowledged us, and when a waitress finally approached, she awkwardly stared at my fiancé for several seconds before walking off without saying a word. Moments later, she returned and asked if we were ready to order. I told her we just wanted mains and a bread basket, but instead of taking the order, she abruptly walked away to find another waitress—leaving us to wait another 10 minutes.
When the second waitress finally turned up, I repeated our order, only to be told that there was a mandatory set menu and we would have to pay the full price per head for a three-course meal, regardless of what we actually wanted. This was never stated anywhere when I booked online. When I pointed this out, her response was that if I had called instead of booking online, they would have told me. So somehow, their failure to properly manage their booking system was “my” problem?
To make matters worse, the live music was deafeningly loud—so much so that no one could hear each other speak. The entire staff seemed to be running around aimlessly, completely overwhelmed. After wasting nearly an hour in this unprofessional mess, my fiancé and I left.
This restaurant is a disaster—poor service, zero communication, and utterly disorganised. If you’re looking for a smooth, enjoyable dining experience, I strongly advise...

If there was an option to give no star, I would. We had an event today at Jaggis Annangrove.
I was thoroughly disappointed from the moment I walked into the venue.
Table setting was not done as expected. It looked like a canteen mess as opposed to an event set up. Aesthetics was appalling. I had to request the tables to be re-arranged.
There was no cake table set up as we arrived. I had to ask for it. The table runner was not ironed. It looked like they pulled it at the last moment from somewhere.
The lighting was so terrible. It looked so dingy and dark in the deck area. Some of the spot lights were out of order.
The garden area is so awfully maintained.
5)I was charged a flat fee for bringing our own drinks but the venue did not even have a cork opener to our shock. They apparently had just one and it was lost/broken.
This venue is certainly NOT for anyone who care about getting quality customer service and attention to detail.
The event co-ordinator did not have the courtesy to check if we were satisfied with the event, any feedback etc. She just pulled me aside to request payment, swiped and off she went.
We WILL NOT return for sure and I would recommend anyone who care about quality service to think twice before choosing this venue for an event. Apart from an open space, they have got nothing in their favour!
