Jim & Harry's is the burger shop you wish you had around the corner. Unfortunately, it's not my local burger shop and I only get to come here when I'm visiting my in-laws in Mt Colah.

The food is great and the portions are generous for a reasonable price, which is rare these days as many burger/snack shops I've been to have jacked up prices and reduced portion sizes...

The coffee is also quite good. But the best thing about Jim and Harry's is the service. Every time I've been there I'm impressed with the minute details the staff pay attention to. E.g. layering chicken salt in a bag of chips instead of piling it on top or asking if we want to our coffees before our food when the place is busy. They sound like really small things but they really make my day.

I'm sick of the fancy, expensive, and stingy chicken shops that seem to be all the rage around where I live. At least I can always trek up to Mt Colah to visit Jim & Harry's.

Edit: I kept referring to it as "chicken shop" in my original review. It's closer to a burger joint so I've updated my review accordingly. I use "chicken shop" as a catch all term for places that sell chips, chicken, chiko rolls, burgers, etc... Someone let me know if there's a more appropriate...

Love this place. An old fashioned hamburger joint, a real throw back to the 1970/80s. Friendly staff, a vast array of burger choices, and fair prices. Would have given 5 stars except for IMO they overly flatten their hamburgers and there's a little too much char. Now this is only my taste and not a reflection of the quality of their products. Their chicken and lamb burgers don't suffer from this, and are delicious. Oh and let's not forget the best fish burger you can find! Did I mention chips? No, well don't forget to grab some, their chips are cooked to perfection and chicken...

If I could rate the food here more than 5 stars, I would. My fiance and I regularly visit Jim & Harry's, often right on opening (especially after pulling and all nighter 🤪), and are always made to feel welcome. Our favourite menu item is their Breakfast Burger, which we add hot chilli sauce to, along with the usual garlic aioli. Their vanilla malt milkshake pairs perfectly with it and the coffee is awesome too (double shot is standard)! If you are the kind of person who can be brought to tears by a top tier feed, you should bring a...

I’m working my way through the menu, and whatever I try, I’m continually impressed with the quality and generous serves and delicious flavours. So far have tried half a dozen of the burgers, from classic to the works to “gourmet”, and they’re all excellent. Tonight tried the onion rings - the best I’ve had since living in the US - and some seafood, also delicious. And to top it off, the staff are always helpful and friendly. Have to be one of the best burger places in Sydney.

The burgers were so good that we started 💃dancing🕺 after the first bite! - Freddie’s burger (left): chicken was succulent but crispy, bacon was fried to perfection, I can’t think of a single person who wouldn’t love this - Greek lamb burger (right): authentic flavours, one of the best burgers he’s ever had - Chips: crispy but fluffy inside, perfect amount of chicken salt HIGHLY, HIGHLY RECOMMEND‼️
