Maso's - St George Masonic Club — Restaurant in Sydney

I am a local and I don’t usually write reviews but my experience I had here was very upsetting and I do not wish it on anyone, this is my second time to the club since the restaurant has changed ownership and still I have had a terrible experience. The restaurant is under staffed and there is one girl doing everything and the food is well below average. I took my chicken back as it was undercooked and then after waiting another 30 minutes my chicken comes out under cooked again and ( on a side plate not even as my full meal) please refer to photos attached. Not only was my meal under cooked but my wife’s pasta and meatballs tasted frozen and my sister’s steak was over cooked. The restaurant couldn’t get anything right, I felt sorry for the young girl working as she was on her own and dealing with everything, she is the only reason why I am giving this place 1 star.

Have lived in the area and this has been one of my locals for 13 years. In past 3 years I have been lucky to visit the restaurant twice a year. The meals are ok, prices have always been high for club food so I knew what to expect. The wait staff have always been friendly but I find the woman at the counter who takes the orders to be bossy, intimidating and rude. Asking smile-less questions that seem irrelevant to the order with an attitude that makes you feel like you are inconveniencing her. I booked for midweek for 7:45 for a small family birthday of 7 and was told quite abruptly about the kitchen closing at 9. I would think 7:45 would be ok. Last night, my parter and myself had dinner at cuccina Sicilana. We orded entrees and mains. The mains arrive before entrees, we told the waiteress we havent recieved our entrees as yet, she said ok i will organise it now. She took away mains and returned with entrees, we said i hope you arent going to serve us those mains again. She said no, our chef will cook you new mains. Half way through our entrees, a junior waiter came with our mains again, we said this is second time time you bought out mains to early. The head waiter/manager came over and appologised and took mains away again. After we finished our entrees the mains came, my steak and vegies were cold,and my partners risotto was cold and gluggy.
